Welcome home Dad U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Grant Bolin knew exactly what he wanted to do during his two-week leave from deployment in South Korea. Upon his return June 13, he headed straight to The Learning Experience in Lakewood Ranch and surprised his daughters, 5-year-old Audrey and 3-year-old Madison (above with their dad), with a hug. “The excitement was overwhelming,” Bolin said.

A future showman? Three-year-old Pierson Malandra’s favorite movie is “The Greatest Showman,” the story of P.T. Barnum building the Barnum and Bailey Circus in the late 19th century. “We’ve watched it a hundred times,” said Pierson’s grandfather, George Barbaresi (above with Pierson). Pierson, who lives in Myakka City, dressed up as his favorite character, P.T. Barnum, to attend The Mall at UTC’s Summer Fun Club June 14.
