Professional partnerships Carol Ricks, assistant principal at Gilbert W. McNeal Elementary, won the School Coordinator of the Year award at the Business and Education Partnership awards Sept. 21 at Manatee Technical College. “What I’ve done at McNeal is make our business partners as appreciated as volunteers,” said Ricks (above). “I shout out our partners on social media and include them in our volunteer breakfast.” It was the Manatee Chamber of Commerce’s 28th Business and Education Partnership awards.
