In the pink Indigo resident Tom Headley (above) helped Indigo CREW — Cancer Research Everybody Wins — raise $2,769.46 at a fundraiser Oct. 6 at Naughty Monk Brewery in Lakewood Ranch. “My wife, Pat, was diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of January,” Headley said. “She just finished her treatments in July. I will be running in honor of her.” Headley will be running in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer race Oct. 20 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota as part of team CREW.

Kim and David Hunsader and their daughter, Rachel Hunsader-Sliker, love how much joy the corn maze brings visitors each year.
No strings reunion Heritage Harbour’s Toni Kennedy (above), who entertains children with her puppet, Little Chick, and produces preschool music as Miss Toni & the Macaroni Band, didn’t immediately recognize one of her former musicians without the music. She was performing Oct. 6 at Guitar Center’s Kids Music Day event at University Town Center when Allen Litchfield came up as Kennedy’s song ‘”It’s Cleanup Time,” played in the background. He looked familiar. “He said, ‘That’s me playing the harmonica on that song that’s playing,’” Kennedy said, noting she recorded the song nine years earlier. “It was a real full-circle moment.”
