he Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County hosted a smashing celebration April 12 at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. The 2018 Tennis Ball: A Grand Slam Event is a kickoff to the Joey Gratton Tennis Championship, which will be hosted in September at the Longboat Key Club. Dinner was themed around the four big tennis opens: the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon and the U.S. Open. Guests were served Australian hors d’oeuvres, a French-inspired salad, an American dinner of roasted chicken and a British chocolate tuile cup for dessert. Big-name athletes such as Wimbeldon player Kathy Rosenberg, Australian Open winner Petr Korda, six-time All-Star baseball player Bobby Bonilla and Dallas Cowboys center Dustin Keith attended.
