‘LIGHT IN A STABLE’ CRIB SERVICE, St Nicholas’ Church, Wigginton. 3.30pm. A warm and family-friendly Christmas Eve crib service retelling the Nativity with children at its heart. A joyful celebration for all ages, followed by hot chocolate and cookies.

24 DECEMBER

MIDNIGHT MASS, St Mary’s Church, Haxby. 11.30pm. A traditional Christmas Eve Midnight Mass to welcome in Christmas with carols, readings and Holy Communion. A peaceful and atmospheric late-night service for all.

25 DECEMBER

HOLY COMMUNION WITH CAROLS, St Mary’s Church, Haxby and St Nicholas’ Church, Wigginton, 10.00am. Celebrate Christmas morning at either Haxby or Wigginton with a joyful service of Holy Communion and much-loved carols. A warm and uplifting way to begin Christmas Day, with both churches welcoming the whole community.
