Vedic Astrology and Nadi Astrology are two powerful tools used by the enlightened masters to navigate through life and give insight to challenges and prescribes remedies to change our life to have better outcomes.
VEDIC ASTROLOGY
This ancient Indian science that shows how the planets and star clusters effect humans and all living things and how their changes and movements influence our day to day life is a tool used by the enlightened Siddha masters to guide people.
Evaluating and predicting your life circumstances in many areas including health, relationships, finances and enlightenment gives a person a clear sense of purpose, highlighting our strengths and weaknesses and gives suggestions on how to improve our life from a very non-rational perspective.
Vedic Astrology provides a unique combination of information about a person’s life in 12 detailed sections.
This is based on a person’s exact time and date of birth, location and takes into account 27 star clusters and 9 planetary positions at the particular time of birth that makes up a person’s individual destiny.
Your birth chart is a powerful blueprint about your life - past, present and future.
It reveals your life purpose, how your mind works, your birth-star details, and which planets influence all areas of your life.
NADI ASTROLOGY
Nadi Astrology is an ancient super science that goes even beyond Vedic Astrology. It sheds light on the journey of your soul and helps you understand your past, present, and future and why certain challenges are presented in a persons life and how to overcome them through spiritual methodologies.
Also known as Nadi Jyotish, this is the Science of Thumbprints and the mystical in nature. The great sages of India have etched our destinies on palm leaves as divine predictions. Their sight into the future showed them the difficulties that would prevail in modern times.
This mystical science from our ancient seers, not only gives predictions about your life but also remedies to dissolve your karma (difficulties) and course correct your life in the right direction to have more peace and prosperity. For more information please visit www.prosperitysiddhateachings.com

SPRING TO IT! with Erin Yarwood
IF you felt that your fitness regime may have slipped a little by the wayside during the cooler months, rest assured that you’ll begin to feel like ramping things up again real soon!
As the days begin to lengthen and the temperature starts rising again, you’ll be getting that spring back in your step in no time. Get ready to get rid of your trackie dacks, exchanging them for denim shorts and boardies.
With more activity on the agenda and lighter, refreshing, generally healthier food options hitting your plate, you will be bouncing out of your skin and feeling brand new before you know it!!
Need a little of motivation to help push you in the right direction??
Here’s a few tips to help you out…

PLAN AHEAD
It’s great to want to start something or get moving, but sometimes writing things down and putting a plan and timeframe in place can make all the difference in actually making something happen.
LIFT YOUR MOOD
I think we’ll all agree that it’s a weird and wonderful time at the moment. And with all that is going on in the world, sometimes we can feel a bit down or rather stressed. Sometimes without even realising it. Make sure that you try not to let things get to you too much and focus on all of the good things happening around you. And remember, a perfect mood booster is movement! And it can also help to simply take your mind off things. Plus the endorphin rush after makes it all worth it!
MEDITATE
Another great way to de-stress, relax and motivate is meditation. And it doesn’t have to be anything fancy. Just taking some time out to quiet your mind and simply focus on your breathing can be all it takes. Or there are many wonderful local outlets where you can book into a class or attend a gathering. Even something like doing laps or going for a jog can be a form of meditation too.
BUY YOURSELF A NEW OUTFIT
You don’t have to go crazy or spend a fortune. But hey, who doesn’t feel good in a new outfit? Especially as the seasons change. Gain some confidence and feel good about yourself! You deserve it.
GRAB YOUR MATES
Nothing helps to put a spring in your step than getting together with some good mates for a catch up. Whether it’s at the local cafe, the park, going for a walk along the beach or climbing a mountain, the laughter shared is guaranteed to put you in a good mood and help to inspire you.
So as the seasons change, feel that wonderful new change within you, and embrace the positivity. www.efitnesspomona.com.au

IT’S the million dollar question. How can something that tastes so good be so bad for you?
Sugar has been coping a bad wrap for years, so lets take a closer look.
There are four sugar groups - • Glucose - main sugar found in your body produced by the food you eat and the prime source of energy that fuels your body. • Fructose – sugar in fruit • Sucrose - table sugar • Lactose – sugar in milk and dairy.
These are what we call natural sugars and are the least harmful. That is of course if you aren’t lactose intolerant or have a reaction to fructose.
It is the processed sugars that pose the greatest danger to our health. Consuming excessive amounts of processed sugars causes a flood of insulin in our blood stream, damaging arteries. Once the walls of the arteries are damaged the heart struggles to pump blood through the circulatory system. It is not uncommon for the heart to become overloaded causing heart failure or heart attacks. Processed sugars are proven to be linked with obesity, heart disease, CVD’s (cardio vascular disease), and even depression. What about artificial sweeteners, such as aspartame or saccharin? Well unfortunately the jury is still out in regard to the effects that they may have, but mounting evidence suggests that they could be linked to high blood sugar, poor gut bacteria and obesity by stimulating the appetite.
Granted sugar is not a health food, but it is not the insidious poison it is often made out to be. Although most of us could stand to consume less of it, it is perfectly fine to enjoy a little bit. Indulge without guilt and remember, moderation is the key. www.foodtrition.com.au

Itchy, scratchy BEDBUGS!

BEDBUGS are small, wingless insects found all over the world. They are a nocturnal parasite, which means they rest during the day and are active at night. However, bedbugs are opportunistic and will bite in the day, especially if starved for some time. They feed on the blood of humans and prefer to hide in bedding and on mattresses where they have ready access to a source of food.
Although bedbugs can harbour diseases in their own bodies, transmission to humans is highly unlikely and there is no evidence for transmission of disease. They are not dangerous, unless a person is allergic to them.
Please note their presence is not an indicator of poor hygiene!
WHERE DO BED BUGS LIKE TO HIDE? • Mattresses, particularly along the seams • Bedding such as sheets and blankets • Between the cracks of wooden floors • Wall cracks or crevices • Carpet • Furniture, particularly in seams and cracks • Luggage and clothing
WHAT DO THEY LOOK LIKE?
Bed bugs can be detected visually, especially in the later stages of their life cycle when they can be over 5mm long. Small blood stains on mattresses are also another clear visual indicator of infestation; you may sometimes even be able to observe their “exoskeletons” after moulting.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE BEEN BITTEN BY BED BUGS?
Bed bugs will usually bite on the arms and shoulders (or any exposed area of the body) which may result in small areas of swelling and itching of the skin. When bed bugs bite, they inject an anaesthetic (so you do not wake up from your sleep) and an anticoagulant (to make the blood thinner and feeding easier). Most people will not even realise they have been bitten until marks appear from one to several days after the initial bite.
It can be difficult to distinguish bedbug bites from other insect bites. In general, the sites of bedbug bites usually are red, sometimes with a darker red spot in the middle, itchy, arranged in a rough line or in a cluster and located on the face, neck, arms, legs and hands.
TREATMENT OPTIONS
Bed bugs bites do not usually pose a serious medical threat. The best treatment for a bite is to avoid scratching the area along with the use of these over-the- counter products found in your pharmacy: • Antihistamine Tablets • Hydrocortisone Cream • Antiseptic cream • Soap-free washes • Ice Packs and repellents
MANAGEMENT AND PREVENTION
Avoidance of infested areas is the method for prevention of bed bug bites. Proper treatment of affected rooms is the best way to prevent bed bugs in the home.
Tuck your sheets in around you at night or wear clothes to bed!
Remove mattresses from bed frames to complete a thorough check of the bedroom. Infested areas including all possible hiding places should then be treated with an appropriate insecticide.
Vacuum the infested area thoroughly. Mattresses should be sealed in dark plastic and left outside in the hot sun.
All clothes and bedding suspected of being infested should be washed in hot water (at least 60 degrees Celsius) and/or heated ironing or drying. Delicate materials can be placed into the freezer.
The best way to prevent bed bugs is regular inspection for the signs of an infestation!
