THE members of Tewantin Noosa Garden Club have recently elected their first male President in its fifty-eight year history! Mr Len Curtis recently moved from Atherton in tropical North Queensland to the Sunshine Coast and Atherton Garden Club’s loss has been our gain!

Len is a qualified garden judge, taking out first prize on one occasion for his stunning country garden up north, and knows first-hand how inspiring it is to visit lovely gardens and glean knowledge from dedicated horticulturalists. The Club’s Car Pools have recommenced after COVID restrictions eased and, once again, we are out and about, getting to know each other better in an informal setting and enjoying the beauty of our region’s flora and fauna.

Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month, excluding December and January, when special events entertain members. We are fortunate to meet in an excellent air conditioned venue at the Salvation Army Hall, 6 Bartlett St, Noosaville, commencing at 1pm.

At each meeting members have the opportunity to hear quality guest speakers, sell and/or purchase plants, exhibit produce or blooms from their garden for judging, borrow library books, receive a lucky door ticket, as well as partake of a delicious afternoon tea at no cost. Membership Fees are $25 per annum. Visitors are very welcome. www.tewantinnoosagardenclub.com
