YOUNG LIFE

LOCAL MINISTRY

Young Life in Little Rock has a strong and growing presence across multiple communities, built on years of faithful leadership, relational ministry, and consistent Gospel proclamation. The area currently serves several key schools including Southwest, Pulaski Academy, and Catholic and expanding opportunities in surrounding areas

We have a committed team of volunteer leaders who are actively showing up in students’ lives weekly through club, Campaigners, and contact work. These leaders are the backbone of the ministry, helping create spaces where students feel known, valued, and invited into a relationship with Jesus

Each week, we are connecting with a significant number of students through club and small group environments, with continued growth in both attendance and depth of engagement We are also seeing momentum in leadership development as new leaders are being recruited, trained, and deployed.

Our focus continues to be reaching every kid, building strong leader teams, and establishing sustainable ministry at each school. With growing relationships, open doors, and a clear vision, Young Life in Little Rock is positioned to expand its impact and deepen its presence across the city

VISION

Our vision is to see every student in the Little Rock area have the opportunity to hear the Gospel from a trusted leader in their life.

To move toward that vision, we are focused on building a healthy and sustainable ministry across the city. This includes strengthening existing ministries, developing new ones, and ensuring every community has access to consistent, relational outreach.

First, we aim to grow and develop strong leader teams across Little Rock by recruiting, training, and caring for leaders who reflect the communities we serve and show up consistently in students’ lives.

Second, we are deepening our impact by increasing student engagement through club, Campaigners, and oneon-one relationships, helping students take steps of faith and grow in Christ.

Third, we are pursuing strategic expansion into new and under-reached areas, building sustainable ministries that can thrive long-term.

Everything we do is aimed at helping students encounter Jesus and experience life transformation through discipleship and community.

MY STORY

I grew up in church and was surrounded by the Gospel from an early age. My grandfather pastored the church I attended, so faith was always a part of my life, but it became personal for me at 11 years old. That’s when I truly understood that I was a sinner in need of a Savior and made the decision to follow Jesus.

From that point on, my faith became my foundation. While I experienced challenges growing up, the Lord was always faithful. He continued to shape my life through His Word and through people who invested in me. Over time, I began to see that my faith was not just something I believed, but something I was called to live out daily. God used both steady seasons t ones to deepen my trust in Him and grow my understanding of who He is.

One of the most significant ways God impacted my life was through relational ministry. Having leaders who consistently showed up, cared for me, and pointed me to Jesus helped me understand what it looks like to follow Christ in a real and personal way. Their presence and consistency left a lasting impact on me.

Now, I have the privilege of doing the same for others. I get to walk with students, build relationships, and meet them where they are. My desire is for them to feel seen, known, and valued, while also hearing and understanding the hope of the Gospel. There is nothing more meaningful than watching a student take steps toward Jesus and begin a relationship with Him.

It’s a calling I don’t take lightly, and I’m grateful to be part of what God is doing in the lives of young people.

WE LOVED YOU SO MUCH THAT WE WERE DELIGHTED TO SHARE WITH YOU NOT ONLY THE GOSPEL OF GOD BUT OUR LIVES AS WELL.

Young Life was incorporated in 1941 by Jim Rayburn, a seminar y student and pa youth minister in Gainesville, Texas, who wanted to reach out to kids disinterested in church. Rayburn went where kids were and found creative ways to share the love of God with them. His methods continue to transform lives today.
