Dear Heritage Society Members and Friends,
Every generation is entrusted with something worth carrying forward. At the YMCA of the North, that responsibility is shared by people like you, leaders whose generosity ensures that our Y will continue to serve children, families, and communities long into the future.
Through your legacy commitments made these past 60 years, the Heritage Society strengthens the foundation of this organization. Your gifts sustain the places and programs that define the Y experience, from neighborhood locations where families gather and grow, to camps where young people discover confidence and belonging, to initiatives that expand access so everyone can experience wellbeing in spirit, mind, and body.
This year’s theme, “Legacy in Motion,” reflects something powerful about the impact you make. A legacy is not simply remembered someday; it is an act of love that remains in motion in perpetuity. Because of you, a child learns to swim. A teen finds their voice as a leader. A family discovers community and support during a difficult season. And those moments ripple outward, shaping lives and communities far beyond what any of us will see.
We also recognize that the Y we steward today was built by visionary supporters who believed deeply in the power of community. Their generosity created the foundation that allows our work to thrive today. Now, through your leadership, that foundation grows stronger, ensuring the YMCA of the North will continue to adapt, serve, and lead for decades to come.
