Member Spotlight Kim Gillette

Kim has been a member and instructor at the YMCA for over a year. She started teaching after a good friend (who also teaches SilverSneakers) encouraged her to apply. At the time, Kim never imagined she would be the one at the front of the room leading a class. But now this role has been one of the happiest surprises to date. What truly drew Kim in wasn’t just the exercise—it was the community. The members who show up each week are incredibly supportive,

She wants to thank our members for welcoming her, supporting her, and showing up with such heart. She looks forward to many more classes, conversations, and shared moments of movement.
