There are events in people’s lifetimes that reshape society in unimaginable and lasting ways. For Americans, 9/11 and the 2008 economic crisis may come to mind, from changing the way we travel and buy homes, to the level of security and surveillance we’ve become accustomed to. The novel coronavirus becomes the first link in a chain of events that will make the year 2020 go down in history books...But crisis presents opportunity: an opportunity to educate, to make noise, and to make change.
