YKA recently held a management meeting welcoming over 50 interns who have joined the company through various partnership schemes. These include the Bahrain Polytechnic’s Apprenticeship Scheme, the Institute of Public Administration's Khobarat Program, the Ministry of Labour's Furas Internship Scheme, and collaborations with universities for graduating students.

What motivated you to join the automotive industry, particularly with Ford & Lincoln at Almoayyed Motors?
The automotive industry has always captivated me, especially from my first day in Mechanical Engineering. Beginning my career as a warehouse-in-charge introduced me to the dynamic supply chains ensuring vehicles and parts are available to customers. Joining this esteemed group, an authorized Lincoln and Ford distributor was a natural progression. I was drawn to Y. K. Almoayyed & Sons’ strong reputation, long-standing partnerships with iconic brands, and commitment to enhancing the customer experience. Over my 23-year career, including 11 years here in Bahrain, I’ve embraced the Gulf’s unique culture and worked with inspiring colleagues. Together, the entire team here embodies the motto: One Team, One Goal, One Company, focusing on enhancing customer experience and satisfaction.
In your experience, what are the most critical aspects of managing spare parts for Ford & Lincoln vehicles?
Expanding my technical knowledge is crucial. This understanding ensures that we have the right parts available, providing accurate recommendations to our customers. Key responsibilities include optimizing the supply chain, managing inventory efficiently, and forecasting demand. We strive to maintain strong relationships with local dealers, distributors, and suppliers based on trust and transparency. Securing timely access to parts and responding swiftly to changes are essential for customer satisfaction. Providing precise information and exceptional service fosters loyalty and drives repeat business.
What are some of your strategies and initiatives that have helped improve the operations of the parts division for Ford & Lincoln at Almoayyed Motors?
Strategies and initiatives I’ve implemented to improve operations include optimizing warehouse processes to reduce lead times and enhance efficiency. With the help of modern devices and a mobile app, we reduced the number of days for stock-taking. Additionally, I led the implementation of Ford Standards and Guest Experience program launched in October 2023, elevating our service quality. I also coordinated the ISO 9001:2015 recertification, ensuring our parts operations meet high industry standards. Continuous training and documentation review every six months further support our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
What have been your most significant achievements in your career and at Almoayyed Motors to this date?
Early in my journey at Almoayyed Motors, I was honoured with the Employee Excellence Award, setting the stage for my growth. Over the past five years, I transitioned into sales, leading operations and achieving significant milestones. Our division received the Excellence Award for outstanding sales performance for two consecutive years from Ford Middle East. Additionally, I spearheaded our ISO certification process, ensuring top-tier quality management. Recently, I took on the role of Guest Experience Manager, aligning our after-sales service with Ford's standards to enhance customer satisfaction. Team collaboration and effective time management have been key to our success.
Looking ahead, what are your aspirations for the parts division at Ford & Lincoln, and how do you plan to achieve them?
I aspire to strengthen our position as the trusted partner for Ford and Lincoln customers by continuously improving our operations. Key focus areas include enhancing inventory management and optimizing the supply chain with advanced data and forecasting techniques. I aim to upskill our team with the latest product knowledge and customer service skills, supported by ongoing HR training. Expanding our parts distribution network and exploring new sales channels are essential to meet customer demands. My goal is to maintain our reputation for excellence and innovation, driving customer satisfaction and operational success
