Project 1: Toys 1.2 toys, The legs: Inspired by barbie legs and function (joints and movement) of a hoberman sphere. This toy will be given out as a set of pin joints, rotational hub, and legs that varies in size, raising awareness on the beauty standard about having different shapes of legs and that it doesn’t have to be skinny. The player can manipulate and build their toy. The legs can be joined together in different ways: elongate to the side, go up, or go into the other dimension. The legs then can be moved as if they are walking together.
1.2 toys Twisting bricks: is inspired by a rubric, Tetris, and Alvar Alto’s brick house. After researching Tetris, I found out about rep-tile, a shape that can be divided into smaller copies of its own. This toy comes in 5 types of rep-tile shape, in a package of a house, which each shape comes in different number, and can divide itself into smaller shapes of its own. The game is to unwrap and reconstruct the toy back into its shape. Then put it together in the house as bricks.

Project 1: Toys
1.2 and 1.3: Nong Phees is inspired by parts and the storytelling aspect of barbie. The toy set will be given with a book and doll: a head and body parts of a doll depicting characteristics of different Thai ghosts: Nang Tani, Krasue, Mae Nak, and Pret. The player can create their character by putting parts together. Then they can use it to play with this book. The book tells stories of these ghosts and have pop-up scenes from each of the story. The player can use the scenes to create scenarios from those stories or even make up a story of their own.

Tani is a female spirit who lives in a banana tree. Legend says that she is a beautiful young woman and is normally very gentle. She sometimes grants wishes. She will harm those who do bad things, especially men that harm women.

Project 1: Toys
Krasue is usually a woman who uses black magic or witchcraft and gets cursed by breaking its rules. From the curse, she lives like a normal person during the day and will leave her body to find food at night with just her head and organs. The folklore says that she eats raw flesh, feces, and first-born babies’ organs. If the villager wakes up in the morning and sees that there’s blood and feces stain on the clothes they hang outside at night, it’s believed that Krasue wipes their mouth on them.

Pret is said to be a tall as a palm tree, have hands as big as palm leaves, and have a mouth as small as a pinhole. That causes them not being able to eat anything but their own blood, lymph, and feces. Pret is someone who did a great sin before they die, especially ones that did bad things to their parents.

Project 1: Toys
Mae Nak, a beautiful young woman named Nak, Lives on the banks of the Phra Khanong canal. She died giving birth to her son, Dang while waiting for her husband, Mak, a soldier, to come home. With her undying love, she stills wait for Mak to return home even after her death. One day, while Mae Nak is preparing dinner, she drops a lime off the porch; She stretches her arm to pick it up. Unfortunately, Mak sees that and realizes his wife is a ghost. He then tries a way to run away from her.

Documenting my sister in her sitting position in one hour. During this time, she was doing her homework and playing a game. I end up seeing her subtle and big movements created by the environment, like the cold air from the air conditioner, or her own, like when she changes her way of sitting.

A co-working space capsule in a structure of a bunk bed.The first floor is a focus space, and the second floor is a break time-space.The capsule is capable of 1 person, and the time limit of use is up to 24 hours. The first floor has all the initial needs for work and studies, like a chair (bed), a table, and an outlet. Meanwhile, the second floor has a vending machine for snacks and diapers, a place to sit and eat, and a private space to change the diaper. Based on the Manifesto, the capsule has the flexibility of ways to sit based on the human body and movements; and it manages isolation and interaction within one capsule or between one capsule to another.

The capsule can be self-assembled and can travel anywhere with the user.

The stairs can also be used as a connecting part of 2 capsules, making them a cluster of two.
If the users of the cluster choose to isolate themselves or connect in the way with a wall/ stairs in the middle, they can look through the holes to still have some sense of interaction with each other.

The capsule can be used anywhere: In both exterior spaces, like gardens, or in interior spaces, like a building.
