Maze Columns Location: Kwun Tong Promenade Sensory garden, Hong Kong By adopting a place-making approach to turn the Sensory Garden into a more vibrant place, and enhance the connectivity with the adjacent neighbourhood and Kwun Tong Promenade. Inspired by random glimpsing of a bar code, the design is integrated unified design languageColumns, to evoke sensory experience- touch, smell, sound, sight. The soft wall approach, which composed of columns, brings high flexibility for different activities to take place.

SOUND The first two rows of columns placed on the stone pebbles are the acoustics tube. Visitors can enjoy the bird sounds and the orchestral sound from the tubes.
SIGHT The design's colors are constrained to white, yellow, and red. White- eliminate the visual distraction. Visitors can have a purified and concentrated experience on site. The dense placement of the columns creates a stripe pattern in shadow, which causes an optic illusion. The mirror maze creates an illusion of mirror rooms with soft walls.
TOUCH With different textures of plants stamped on the columns around the sitting area and stone pebbles on the message road, the visitor can have a pure sensation in the texture. The column maze is placed in the darkest area to magnify the sense of touch.
SMELL With plants alongside the promenade, the metal columns around the sitting area are also inserted smelling device inside.

Shop House? House Shop
Location: 2-3 Tsat Tsz Mui Rd, North Point, Hong Kong
In most case, shops are placed on ground floor for more business oppotunity generated by serendipity. Big sign and leaflets are flying all over the street, almost like shouting, - What if one is intentionally hidding from everyone’s attention? What happened when the conventional order or program is switched?
7
It is to chanllege the conventional minset of programmatic order. But then it goes to a question, how to bring them up? The proposed design is assissted, or say highlighted, by a designed journey. - First intrigued by the mysterious dark entrance on a inconspicious alley. After entering the walls, it soon found to be in a courtyard bounding by a spiral staricase ....

5X5X5 Retreat
13
Located in densed community, surrounded by crowded buildings, the owner wishes to have a retreat and intimate living in the covmmunity under the urban context.
As inspired by the moat in the ancient castle, it is designed with water ribbon wrapping around the 5X5X5 blocks, setting the soft boundry to block interruption. Instead of using rocks or other material to set boundry, water is apoted to facilitate light reflection into the house and elegantly set back from the hustle and bustle from the city.
The percentage of opening in the building is dedicated to strike a balance between lightness and privacy. By placing a series of galss block along side the pond near the foot and sunked the ground level, the owner is able to enjoy view to outside without losing privacy.

Concrete Aqua Client : Civil Engineering Department (CEDD) Type : Environmental Location : Victoria Harbor, Hong Kong Modules : Intertidal, Rockpool, Panel, Tile DA : Object Territories
The innovation project to provide 4 prototype of concrete modules. The modules are to be placed in Victoria Harbor by CEDD contractor to study the Coastal sealifes. The ECOncrete solution consists of three core elements that work in synergy to decrease the ecological footprint and enable the growth of marine life on concrete infrastructures.
21
1. Reinforced by nature E-Concrete addresses the chemical composition of the concrete, as well as its micro and macro surface, on a micro and macro level. This promotes the growth of organisms like oysters, corals, or barnacles, which act as biological glue, enhancing the strength and durability of structures, and adding to their stability and longevity. We call it bioprotection. 2. Bio-enhancing concrete compositions Our life-enabling Admix can be added to regular concrete mix to create a chemically-balanced concrete. This enables healthy and diverse marine ecosystems to develop. 3. Texture agents Our mold-modifying agents, liners, and coatings create complex surface textures on which growth is enabled, allowing for rich, diverse marine life to develop.
