All-City Strings & Choirs Conductors Jaminda Blackmon has been teaching music for ten years. A graduate from Bridgewater State College, she is the general music teacher at Wexler Grant Community School where she also teaches choir and is the director of the school’s theatre program. When not teaching, she can be found singing soprano with the Heritage Chorale of New Haven, and with the Messiah Baptist Church’s Mass and MC-YA Choirs.
Danielle Storey Carson is a native of Northford, CT. She received her B.M. Degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL. She also attended the University of Bridgeport where she received her Master’s Degree in Music Ed K-12. Danielle has had the chance to travel all over the world and to sing with some of her idols like Kathleen Battle, Richard Smallwood, Kirk Franklin, and LeCrecia Campbell, just to name a few. Mrs. Storey-Carson has been a teacher in New Haven for over fifteen years, twelve of which have been at Wilbur L. Cross High School.

All-City Strings & Choirs Conductors (continued) Meaghan Sheehan holds a B.A. in Music from the University of Connecticut, a M.S. in Elementary Education, and a Sixth Year Certificate in Educational Leadership from Southern Connecticut State University. Ms. Sheehan is a Choral Teacher at Betsy Ross Arts Magnet School in New Haven. Ms. Sheehan has performed both professionally as well as in community choruses, beginning her choral studies as a member of the Elm City Girls Choir. She spent several summers with the Vermont-based choral ensemble Village Harmony, during which she travelled to Germany, South Africa, and the Republic of Georgia. In 2018, Ms. Sheehan was a recipient of the Fund for Teachers grant and attended the Choral Institute at Oxford, England, as a conductor. During the same year, she was awarded a scholarship as a Dalio Teacher Fellow to attend the Summer Forum on Aesthetic Immersion at Lincoln Center. Ms. Sheehan is thrilled to be returning to the All-City Ensembles and to be a part of the Music in Schools Initiative.
Stephanie Tubiolo is the Associate Director of Choral Activities at Princeton University, where she has led the Trego Singers and co-led the Chamber Choir since 2017. She spent the previous seven years in New Haven, CT, where she worked as a Teaching Artist with the Yale Music in Schools Initiative and served as its first Postgraduate Fellow. Since 2015, she has developed and directed Morse Chorale, a performance-intensive choir for New Haven Public School students in grades 4-12. Most recently, Morse Chorale sang in concert with Tenebrae and performed as a featured ensemble at the Connecticut Music Educator’s Association All-State conference and the national Urban Music Leadership Conference. The choir can be seen frequently on their home stage in Sprague Hall at the Yale School of Music, where they perform an eclectic mix of high-level repertoire year-round. Stephanie earned her M.M. in Choral Conducting in 2016 from the Yale School of Music and Institute of Sacred Music, where she studied with Marguerite Brooks, Jeffrey Douma, and David Hill. As a graduate student, her experience as a chorister and conductor was extensive; most notably, she performed, recorded, and toured in the Yale Schola Cantorum and co-directed the choir at the University Church in Yale. She earned her B.A. in Music from Yale College in 2014, where she served as Manager and Assistant Conductor of the Yale Glee Club and graduated with magna cum laude distinction.
