HATHERLEIGH EAGLES

football club notes seniors

A Grade: Mount Burr on their home ground was never going to be an easy task. We knew they were going to come out firing because their season was on the line. Credit to our boys we stood strong and matched there heat with us leading the first break by 3 goals. In the second half seen us come out even stronger with us hing the contest and winning the ball out of the middle with the likes of Sam Waring and Will Chay seng the tone and providing us with lots of shots on goals with a major goal kicker being Jed Telfer with 7 straight on the day. Overall was a good day out with a 4 quarter effort giving us the 80 point win at the end of the day

B Grade: What a day for the Acky boys with lile brother Jordy stepping up to fill in the B grade playing alongside older brothers Tyson and Cam, he done a ripping job with a few good tackles and kicking a nice lile goal from the pocket, boys were excited to have the skipper back from A grade dues also, we got off to a great start and finished off very strongly Tom Bell was best on with a bag of 9 goals, Raysa and Sully gave us first use out of the middle along with Jimmy Telford who used the ball brilliant every me he got it in his hands. Sid Reeves rounded out the best with a good hit out in the ruck. We look forward to a week off and get stuck into some work to prep ourselves for finals.

Senior Colts: Last round saw us come up against a quality side in Mt Burr. The boys sadly started off really slow and let them get the early jump. Aer half me the footy began to be beer but the Burr were just too good. Only a couple games le now so hopefully we can finish the year off strong and play some team footy Best were 1st best Denton’s SportsPower award went to Huddy Nowak. 2nd best the stumpy award went to Jordy Acky. 3rd best the Gino's Pizza award went to Eli Sims. 4th best the Ladies

Commiee award went to Riley Haines. 5th best the Pete Walter's award went to Oskar Howell.

Junior Colts: Another pleasant day for footy took us to Mt Burr to take on a undermanned Mossies. Well done to our boys who stepped up and played for the Burr to make it an even 18 on the field, those that played definitely tried their hardest. It was a comfortable win but it was pleasing to see the boys really share the ball around and gave some players opportunies that don't normally get them, especially up forward where a few boys managed to get their first goals for the year. Tommy Atkinson started down back and then finished off in the middle, he was clean and direct whenever he touched it and used the ball well. Paddy Fitzgerald connued some good form, this me in the middle of the ground where he played hard and got plenty of the footy, and did the same down back later on where he aacked the ball well. Leni Clifford provided a good focal point up forward before playing the second half for Mt Burr, where he connued to try his best and got some good touches. Similarly, Alex Sutherland was good up forward where he doesn't normally play, geng a couple goals before he also tried his hardest for Mt Burr in second half. Sam Lang got his chance up forward and bagged a goal while also presenng well and geng some good touches. The bye has allowed us to freshen up before Robe and the run into finals.

Under 11: Last round we played at the Burr. It was a great day for it, the sun was out. The Burr boys brought plenty of contest to the footy. It was good skills all day with plenty of kicks hing the target, shepherds, tackles and goals. Best players were Tyler Duff (Sportspower), Parker Wells (Toy Kingdom), Colton Redman (Hatherleigh ladies commiee), Arthur Wakelin (Sco Redman), Lincoln Sharp (HFC football).

ROBE ROOSTERS

football

Junior Colts: A really pleasing 4 quarter effort by every player. The boys played with great spirit, worked hard at every contest, and applied pressure when they didn't have the ball; and just kept compeng. It was a real team effort, sharing the ball around, and taking pride in their delivery to teammates. Now for Hatherleigh, the same performance is an absolute must! I reckon our recent form is good enough to give them a real reality check. The outcome will clearly determine our future. It would be fantasc to finish the minor round with a win. Be brave boys and take every challenge on. Don't take a backward step. Enjoy being compeve and doing your best.

B Grade: Was an interesng day in Robe with fog coming in and out all day. As per other weeks, the reserves game seemed to get the best part of the weather for the day. Mt Burr came out strong and had us on the back foot. Took us 10 minutes of the first quarter to get full control of the game. Tom Kurray showed great composure out the centre to help sele the team down. Crossy and Bram baled hard all day pung their head over the ball. Lachie Hentscke walked away with 10 goals and the skip (Sam Huebner) looked dangerous down forward kicking 5. Sam Thomson’s first game in the reserves showed excellent presence at centre half forward, boong 4 goals to his name. The back 6 where solid all day and nothing went past them for the last 3 quarters. Every week it’s geng harder to pick best on players, they are really playing

team football. This week we travel to Hatherleigh for first and second bale. All I can promise, it will be an excing game to watch. See you all there. Go Roosters!

NANGWARRY SAINTS

Was a sunny day in Glencoe last Saturday, perfect football condions. The Junior Colts kicked off with a solid performance and got the points. Senior Colts was a very physical game and showed just how close the compeon is heading into finals. Our A Grade boys were compeve all game and gave the crowd a game to remember. It is really good to see Taz and his boys play a great game of footy, one we can all be proud of

Thank you to all who aended the Red, Black & White Ball last Saturday night. It is always nice to see everyone get dressed up and let their hair down. Tonight we host our annual aucon night so sck around for tea and support the club.

Under 11: This game saw us hit the road to Glencoe. It was a beauful morning and the kid's ball handling skills were put to the test and they were able to show us that all their hard work at trainings has paid off As we approach the last games of the season it's great to be able to see how the kid's skills and development have come a long way.

Junior Colts: Interesng start at Glencoe last week. We took a half a game to get our game going and it was quite an even tussle. We definitely squandered a few easy opportunies early. Once we did get our game going we looked really good - switching the ball to the fat side and geng some good penetraon inside 50 set up some really good goals. One thing I loved coaching last week were that there were no passengers - everyone did their bit, which was great. Some of our decision making and ball movement really was first class for an under 14's side and our kids should be really proud with how we've played 4 quarters.

Senior Colts: We played a tough and ght game against top team Glencoe with both teams struggling to break free for the first 3 quarters. Unfortunately our injuries that have been piling up lately finally took a toll and Glencoe were able to pull away in the last quarter. A really solid effort but it also showed that we sll have some things to work on in our last couple of games. Some standouts for the game were Alex

B Grade: Was very happy with our efforts on Saturday. I thought that we played very well and definitely showed a lot of improvement from when we first played Glencoe. Credit to our lads we went in undermanned again and had to get under 17s to help us out but the way we played over the game was very pleasing to see and enjoyable to watch. Glencoe got the beer of us towards the end of the game but we never gave up and showed a lot of heart. Hopefully we can get a win this week for our last home game for the year

A Grade: Can easily get used to playing in perfect condions as again the sun shone upon us at Glencoe. Glencoe oval has been a bogey for us in previous years and one we wanted to recfy. A few changes to our side from the previous week due to injury we were sll confident going into the game due to our good form. Both teams started the game well and an entertaining standard of game was on from the outset. The ball transioned both ways all quarter with Glencoe holding onto a 1 goal lead at the first break. We started the second quarter slowly before regaining our composure and playing the football we know we can produce and going into the halime break with some good form being only 2 goals down. The score line remained the same for the remainder of the game with both sides enjoying patches of good momentum without either side being able to get a stranglehold on the game. The hard work that we started back in December is really paying off. Our structures and team cohesiveness is really coming together. A testament to the group for their hard work and persistence. Goal kickers for the day were Jack Pudney 4, Elwood Geary 2, Andy Hyland, Calais Borman and Archer Virtanen 1 each. Best players - 1. George McWaters, 2. Jack Pudney, 3. Joel Virtanen, 4. Scoe Brooksby, 5. Lennox Lewis, 6. Josh Weedon. This week we look forward to taking on Kongorong on our home deck on what will be our last home game of the season. See you all there.

Lynch, Cooper Harris and Toby Grigg.

football club notes

Perfect condions in Kongorong as we hosted Kalangadoo last week.

Under 11: Sunny condions last week, how good is it to see blue skies aer the last couple of wet games. Last week saw us take on Kalangadoo at home. The boys were all pumped up and ready to play aer a week off. Our backline got a real workout but we showed how strong we can be in defence and were able to turnover a lot of play as the boys showed up some prey impressive tackling skills. Harry C, Cooper, Ted and Archie worked hard all game with tackling and turning over the ball with good support from the other boys to clear it out of the goal area. Brodie put his height to good use and was able to get a touch on the ball mulple mes to prevent what would have been some definite goals. Was great to see the boys ulising the whole field and playing the ball on the wings to spread out play rather than cluering the centre. Looking forward to Nangwarry this weekend. Awards went to Harry Collins (Intersport voucher), Cooper Jenkins (presidents award), Ted Ellis (coaches award), Archie Gillin (club award), Toby Telford (Brant family award) and Brodie Stephens (Donut King award). Congratulaons to all the boys, you played so well against tough compeon - great team effort.

Junior Colts: Cracking day for footy at Kongorong and a good game was played against Kalangadoo for our junior colts. The kid's did their best in defence. Trying to move the footy forward by maintaining possession is geng beer. With just two games of footy to go, the year has gone so fast, and it's great to see the kid's improving and enjoying playing footy. Awards went to Noah von Stanke-Dowie (Lucas Family Award), Angus Maidment (Spot On Fishing), Koby Galloway (Aussie Disposals), Connor Gordon (Janeway Plumbing), Havana Beard (Club Voucher) and Lola Geddes (Paradise Pizza).

Senior Colts: We took on the undermanned Kalangadoo team with the understanding that for us to become a consistent performing group we would need to treat this game like any other. We began the match well and played our brand of football for the first half of the match, execung at stoppage and playing front half football. At the main break we rotated our players who had volunteered to help out our opposion and the challenge was put to our group to maintain the standard of football they had played in the first half. Unfortunately, complacency set in and our group were

oen second to the ball or waing for someone else to win the contest for them and we played out a goalless third quarter. Our output in the contest picked up marginally in the last and we benefited on the scoreboard from some passages of overlap movement. We will connue this week in our pursuit to bridge the gap between our best and our worst and make good football a habit and not a choice. Value awards went to Jobe Janeway (MT Wheels), Jai Hillstone (Mahew’s Petroleum), Luke Allen (Mick Mullan Plumbing), Blake Telford (DA’Leni Meats), Logan Cordy (Coaches Award) and Bam Kent (Badenochs Deli).

B Grade: Hard fought game and again we have some great posives to take out of it. Interesng age demographics again for the team. We were either over 35 or under 19, with only a couple in between that age group. This is not conducive to being able to win lots of games but we are building a great team culture and earning respect from opponents, which is really pleasing. Big thanks to Tommy Ellis, Pete Gordon and Heath McShane for helping us out. Michael Waters, Paul Ellis, Cohen Janeway, Harrison Elletson, Alex Forman and Shaun Beard got our awards. As always thanks to award sponsors Collins Court Butchers, The Commercial Hotel, BCF, Mitre 10, Pick Ave Deli and the Club.

A Grade: We came out with a different vibe last week which transferred onto the field and rolled into us having a great start to the game. For the first 2 quarters Ethan Norman and young Jobe Janeway gave the onballers first use. Jobe connued well in the ruck all day and to his credit did a great job. Sjaakie, Will Vickery and Shaun Madden did an awesome job down back holding down the fort while Lukey Mac and Tommy Hunter provided a target up forward. Brodie von Stanke-Dowie worked relessly up and down the ground. Unfortunately the boys let the 3rd quarter slip but to their credit come back in the last and didn't allow Kalangadoo an easy way out. On to Nangwarry this week, which will be good to see how we compete. Awards went to Sjaakie Duivenvoorde (Commercial Hotel), Jobe Janeway (Collins Court Butchers), Tyrone Rayner (BCF), Will Vickery (Club Tea), Corben O’Dea (Pick Ave Deli) and Ethan Norman (Club Tea).

Ladies Day is coming up so be sure

grab your cket! We will also have the Port Mac locals “Saltair” playing on the 24th (bay game) as well so be sure to sck around! Go Hawks!

PORT MACDONNELL DEMONS

A Grade: Pt MacDonnell 12.15 def Tantanoola 10.4. We may have had a foggy start in the Bay, but Tantanoola was bathed in sunshine and the oval in peak condion, so you couldn't get a beer day for footy. Right from the start we had plenty of the ball but could not quite make it hurt on the scoreboard kicking 1.7 in the 1st quarter alone. Tant, to their credit, connued with the pressure and by half me the game there was only a 2-point margin and could go either way. Our third quarter saw us take control of the game with our presence in front of goals more accurate from every angle. The warmth of the day slowed us a lile toward the end, but a consistent effort put the win in our hands. Will Macdonald and Tim Sullivan (1st & 2nd) gave us superior strength and height right across the ground and were a consistent force throughout the game. Chrisan Howle and Colby Munro (3rd & 4th) mopped up along the flanks, taking the ball forward at every opportunity. Kyall McClean and Riley Morgan (5th & 6th) round out the BP list with their determined efforts from the backlines and through the midfield. Goal kickers included Chrisan Howle 4, Tim Sullivan 3, and Jake Schleter, Alex Ridding, Je Aard, Ned Wilke and Will MacDonald with 1 each. Thanks again to the Senior Colts Harry Carroll, Koby Stratman and Wil Cameron for their courageous efforts. Next is Glencoe and our last home game before the end of the season, and we can take nothing for granted… the finals are but a couple of weeks away… so train hard to play hard! Go Demons!

B Grade: Pt MacDonnell 13.9 def Tantanoola 11.5. Well! Here

we are… another sunny Saturday (no rain in sight, again... sigh!) and nearly another season over and done! Where did that me go? Some of us will think great, my Saturdays are my own again. I'm not going to be limping/hurng on a Sunday… this will be my last year! However you feel about it, the party has to end some me but I wonder what the shape of footy will be like next year in the “Family League”. With a mix of old and new kids on the block, the game shaped up to be a close one and with the help of the boy band (Snr Colts) Archie New, Connor Richards, Je Lewis and Kurs Lasle, we headed in the right (One) direcon and had enough legs le in us to come away with a win. Crooner Baz “Frankie” O'Dine (BOG) did it 'his way' through the packs and created play wherever he went while “Backstreet Boy” Brodie Dixon (2nd) kept the beat going along the flanks, pushing the ball forward at every opportunity. Archie “Harry Styles” New and Joel (Yesterdays Hero JPY circa '75) Newton-Anderson came in at 3rd and 4th respecvely with their individual style and up tempo play while Adam Kuhl (5th) and Connor Richards (6th) showed how “NSYNC” they were, clearing the midfield and picking up the turnovers with ease. It was a reasonable “5 Seconds of Summer” on the scoreboard with Simon “Buble” Merre and Bradley “Braithwaite” Neale kicking 3 each, Archie New with 2, and Ben “ZZ Top” McGregor, Brodie Dixon, Connor Richards and Mason “Barnesy” Brown with 1 apiece. The beat goes on and so will the B grade! It's Glencoe next in front of a home crowd and like the Hunters and Collectors “we will search for that Holy Grail!” Go Demons!

GLENCOE MURPHIES

football club notes seniors

With the end of the season quickly approaching we had our second to last home game of the season against Nangwarry coming away with three wins for the day. Thank you Min, for taking happy snaps of the fellas. Also thank you to the junior players and parents who were on the tea roster Saturday night.

We would love to see everyone there supporng us down at the bay. Best was Bailey who played with heart all day, Jed using his speed and skills, Kaleb rebounding in defence and rucking, Tighe Hurley shung down a prominent opposion, Tyrone excellent in the ruck and Declan ght down back.

senior colts

junior colts

Junior Colts: Coming up against an older and more experienced Nangwarry we were keen to challenge them. The first quarter being an even tussle, both teams having plenty of it with young Lachy geng us on the board early. In the second we connued to push Nangwarry, trailling by only 2 points. Nangwarry picked up their work rate in the second half kicking six goals to our one in the second half. We move onto Port Mac this week keen to compete again. Best was Jack playing some great footy, Ryley D always improving, Hamish who also kicked three and young Jasmine and Alejandro rounded out the best.

Senior Colts: Huge game on the line with our boys coming up against an opposion who bet them in the first round and keen to flip the result. The first term was hot and contested with a few tussles here and there. We sloed a couple of goals before leng Nangwarry score one late. Second term Nangwarry bought the heat and we held onto them and sloed some great goals to keep the lead. The third term was another ght tussle with both teams not giving an inch before Brodie kicked a nice goal, well set up by team play. We lost a player in the last, but it made us somewhat improve kicking three and running away with the win. It was a very high standard of junior footy, great for our league. This week we take on Port Mac in another huge game.

Reserves: Once again, we took the field with almost a full team of senior footballers with a few more to come in. We are keen to see what we can achieve. The first half we had a heap of the ball but couldn't put them to bed. In the second half we pilled on 10 goals and won by 80 points with Dane slong another seven goals having a great year playing deep forward. Best was Trent who's geng beer with age, Dane, captain Jason having a great year, James in defence and Tom running on ball.

Seniors: A game we were confident in doing our job and playing for each other. Credit to Nangwarry who are connually improving and adding some youth every me we play. For a day that skills should have shone through there were moments that we lacked cohesiveness, but importantly we trudged on to get the win. Nangwarry came at us in the third and we got away from them in the last with some good efforts up forward winning by 20 points. Clear best on ground was Ma using his precise field kicking and great set of hands marking plenty in defence. Captain Dylan connually proves why he's a strong leader of our club. Patrick always pung his body on the line and snagged a couple. Sam repelling out of defence and snagging a ripper goal, Boyd playing well and a shout out to our Murphy Mascot for the day, lile Jakey. Great to see him giving Reece a few coaching ps.

football club notes

Junior Colts: The boys pressure last week was terrific. They pushed to every contest and tackled well. The best thing the boys did was their desire to put their head over the ball. Best players were Archer for his best game of the season and Noah as well. Reed was dominant again and Jackson had a career best straight lining the ball and running hard around the ground. Looking forward to our last home game this week.

Senior Colts: The senior colts boys were able to put together 4 good quarters of football last week against Robe. Missing a couple of players saw a few of the other boys step up to play some of their best football for the year. This week we come up against the Tant boys who will be determined to knock off their school mates.

B Grade: Foggy condions greeted us at Robe for what was bound to be a tough game for our depleted side. We came out in the first 5 minutes with real intensity and purpose and managed to get the first goal on the board. Unfortunately it was to be our only goal of the game as Robe were way to strong for us for the remainder of the match. Credit to the boys though as they never gave up. Best players were Ed & Harry who connue their strong form, Lachie had a good game and showed us glimpses of the pace he talks about but we had never seen before, Liam Whiy got over his jet lag to compete well and Myles, Saxon (playing his first game in a while for the club) and Harvey, all had their moments.

again to Cocky and the

Brant boys for helping us out on the day.

A Grade: In tough tricky condions and thick fog I thought both teams put on a great show. It was a highly contested game with both sides winning their fair share the footy. It was a bit of an arm wrestle for majority of the game with Robe edging us out late. I thought that our pressure was the best it’s been for a fair while which allowed us to win the footy back. Our endeavour and grit to stay in the contest was pleasing to see. We missed a few easy shots on goal and we had a few unlucky bouncers that didn’t go our way, but I guess that’s footy. Disappointed to lose the game but overall was happy with our performance. We will keep ripping in the next couple of weeks to finish off the season strong.

TANTANOOLA TIGERS

Tonight's Mouse Cup is a certainty to be a blast with table ckets selling out weeks ago and only standing ckets le. Thank you to everyone who has organised the night. Last game will be a monster aucon with some great items up for grabs. Keep an eye out around the club and on Facebook for more informaon.

We would like to make a special menon to our Silver sponsors –Café Melzar, Gildera Forestry Services, JKM Maintenance & Labour Hire, Nutrien Ag Soluons, Professional Wind Services, Quickmix, Millicent Windows and Doors, Glen Johnson Bowen, Dentons Sport Power, Splendid Eggs, Telf's Plumbing, Brandt and Skookum Technology. Junior Colts: Last week we played the Bay at home in what was a big game for our young side, the first half was superb from the young Tigers showing plenty of fight and giving it to the Port Mac team. Unfortunately the third quarter wasn't as good opening up the door for the opposion to sneak a few goals it building on their lead heading into the last we again fought back hard but in end the gap was just a bit too big for the boys, great game all round.

Senior Colts: As we headed home to play a well-rounded Port Mac team the boys knew it was going to be a challenge. We started slow in the first half rarely winning it out of the middle and when we did their backline mopped everything up. Aer a few posional changes and a bit of a rev up the second half was much beer with the boys adding pressure and showing they wanted to be there which was good to see but at the end of the day Port Mac came out and showed us their class, who will be a strong team come finals me. Goal kicker was Braydn Hateley and best players where Braydn Hateley, Eli Bowman, Sam Simmons, Jayden Hunter, Zak Linnell and Brayden Rowe.

Reserves: Last week we hosted the

Bay at Tant in the B grade with another perfect day for footy Struggling for numbers we were lucky to have big Floppy Varcoe out of rerement and he sloed 7 goals and had a BOG performance, which le us all wondering why he rered at all. Also thanks to Spog who filled in and played a solid game at half back. We had three senior colts play a second game, Kaden Bell played a ripper on the forward flank and Jackson Grant and Chance Mitchell swapping off the bench into a back pocket. The boys had a slow start leng Pt Mac kick 5 goals in the first quarter by the boys staged a comeback and we nearly got there but just fell short by a couple of goals. Best players were Jimmy “Floppy” Varcoe, Nick “belly buon lint” Cory, Kaden “the weed” Bell, Marky “old fossil” Bell and May “the ghost” Nelson.

A Grade: Last week we played Port Mac at home. The weather turned it on and we looked forward to a challenge and redeeming ourselves from a very below average performance the previous week. The first half we controlled most of the play with very good ball movement and hing our targets unfortunately didn't quite hit the scoreboard to get a good lead and allowed Port Mac to stay in the contest at half me. The 3rd quarter all of Port Mac’s best players stood up and put together 15 dominant minutes leaving us flat footed and a bit off the mark. But the last quarter we bounced back winning the quarter and being very dominant all around the ground. Even though we went down the performance was much different to the previous and the boys walked off the ground with a great game of footy and having plenty of opportunies to get a win against a top 3 team. Best players Troy Ha, Jordy Ha, Ethan Bowman, Brayden Hateley and James MacDonald.

2024 LADDER

NETball club notes hatherleigh

Junior 2: We started out strongly with ght defence, giving us lots of opportunity. However we crowded the space and couldn't find the front posion which made it difficult to find the right person to pass to. We need to remember to keep fighng for every ball, and holding our heads up high even when the game is tough. Thank you to Eliza McGrath and Cydi McEwen for filling in. Awards: HLC - Hayley Bowman & Chemist King - Cydi McEwen.

Junior 1: The girls came out firing on against the Burr. The determinaon from all players on the court was really good to see. Goalies worked well together and shot accurately. Defence throughout the whole court got us plenty of ball. We just need to remember to keep coming in front even when we start to get red. Awards: HLC - Emily Freebairn & Millicent Sports Power - Leila Schmidt.

13 & Under: A hard day at the office for our u13s. Mt Burr came out firing with a 10 goal lead at the end of the first quarter. Fortunately our girls never dropped their heads and with a few changes managed to outscore Mt Burr for the other 3 quarters allowing us to come away with the win. All the girls worked hard and used many of the tools in their toolkit to remain compeve. Special menon to Chloe for really liing the team with some strong intercepts pung exactly in to play what we worked on at training. Leyla applied pressure throughout the whole game and didn't let her intensity waver at all. Mollie connued to remain level headed and really contest the ball under some immense pressure. Hazel, Alirah and Livvi dug deep in their reserves aer having already played 15s. Arabella, Paige and Kaia changed posions well and applied their knowledge allowing for seamless changes for court me management. Well done again girls I'm so proud of each of you. Let's keep working hard at training and keep building each other up. Leyla - HLC, Mollie - Hassell HLC, LivviMitre 10

15 & Under: A strong four quarters of netball against Mount Burr. We connually scored off our centre pass, playing high percentage netball, valuing possession. We chipped away at the lead, building each quarter and not leng the Mozzies get a run-on. Sylvie and Luca’s movement in the goal ring was impressive as was their conversion rate. Livvi and Alirah were dynamic through the middle and ran their lanes beaufully. Zoe, Hazel, Olivia and Sienna consistently had hands over the ball, forced turnovers and transioned strongly down into aack. A convincing win, great to see the girls showing belief in themselves and their teammates. Banner - Sylvie, HLC - Livvi.

17 & Under: Not the result we were aer but that’s sport and there’s always another game. Hannah and Chloe B book ended the court and were both creditable in their respecve posions. Hopefully Kalli’s ankle come up ok and she’s back on court soon. Our form has dropped off in the last few weeks and we need to get ourselves back on track. Some hard work between now and finals needs to be done and I know everyone’s very capable of doing the hard yards. Since 56 award Chloe B, HLC Hannah.

B Reserve: Was a solid team effort, the flow and movement down the court, delivering the ball into the goal circle. Grace and Melita again worked amazing with being consistent in our goals. Keely, Amy and Demi moved around driving onto the ball in midcourt. Down in our

defence Maddie worked hard all game in WD, Fiona had a strong game in GK and Ella and Ellen again got their hands to many balls creang the turnovers. Let’s keep working hard at training and with the last 2 games of the season. Thank you to Zoe and Kelly for scoring and primary carer. Awards: Fiona JackmanBeachport Hotel, Maddie CoppingSomerset, Keely Jones - HSR drinks.

B Grade: The sun was shining and with a new team circle connecon acvity pregame and words of inspiraon, the girls were raring to go. From the outset the defensive pressure all the way down the court was strong. Throughout the game George, Marni, Sarah and Kaz got plenty of deflecons and intercepts in the last lines of defence. Just as importantly though were the turnovers caused in the mid court from Kaz, Ali and co having hands over the ball and reading the play to pick off loose passes. The ball movement down the court was smooth with great driving out of defence. Ellie, Kaz and Ali, posioned themselves on the circle and used voice to feed with paence and precision to Liv and Eliza who both converted with accuracy and held strong in physical condions. It was a game where the coaches made changes at every quarter and players were asked to try different plays, as we reach the pointy end of the season. A few lapses in intensity, but overall a very strong performance from all on the court and a great win. Love seeing the team spirit, backing each other, celebrang great plays and posive energy. A wonderful team effort. Thanks so much to Fi Jackman for sing bench, Mads cheering hard and snapping photos, Nat for PC and Raels for scoring. Love having our faithful supporters watching and cheering too - it means a lot! Best - Ellie (Ampol) and Olivia (Hath Sport and Rec).

A Reserve: We started the game really controlled and worked the ball down the court nicely with Rosie and Deni working well around the circle making it easy for the goalies. Goalies moved well to make space for each other which opened up the circle. In the second quarter the defence end dominated with their intercepts and worked hard. Again we panicked a lile in the second half of the quarter and struggled converng some of our turnovers. Going into the third quarter we changed up some posions and took me to adjust. We had a very quiet quarter and threw away a lot of feeds and passes. The last quarter was very heated with the scores geng close by our mistakes. We were very rushed and not taking control of the ball. We managed to re adjust ourselves and take away the win 42-48! Thanks to Ali and Olivia for stepping up and taking the court and helping us out, you both held your own and done a fantasc job to work with the team. Beachport Hotel award Imogen Nowak, Somerset award Maddie Redman.

A Grade: A slow start to the game, with some early errors but with momentum and support you slowly bridged the gap. Demi and Lars combined well defensively, geng loads of deflecons. Erin and Niah showed great paence when passing into Bree and Elly, who worked together well, to create the openings. Chels and Luch back up well, giving us plenty of opportunity to reset and go again. Although we couldn't quite get over the line for the win, we backed each other, with high intensity and effort. Thanks to Lucy and Immy for benching and taking the court. Awards: Millicent chemist - Elly Redden & HLC - Demi Vanderhorst.

NETball club notes robe

A Grade: Robe 55 def Mt Burr 38. Robe delivered another impressive team performance, showcasing intense pressure from the defensive end. They effecvely shut down centre passes and demonstrated exceponal play-reading from the goal circle. Alannah Campbell played well off the body, prevenng long passes, while Emillie Gould kept pace with the fast play. Demi Carter (coaches award – Wangolina Wines) provided crucial control in the aack line, working seamlessly with Sarah Laurie to set up plays and ensuring shoong accuracy. Lucy Perkins (Calcua – Pure Luxe/Naracoorte Sportspower) made strong and intense drives onto the goal circle, facilitang short and precise passes. Robe's fitness was evident in this ght game; they maintained high pressure throughout, showing their determinaon and readiness for the finals.

A Reserve: Robe 60 def Mount Burr 41. The A Reserves had a ripper team game against Mt Burr. Aer losing against them in the previous match, we were excited for the re-match at our home ground. The girls played with intensity, precision and pressure from the first minute and were consistent throughout the whole game. Shooters Ella and Libby played confidently under the ring, with mid counters Alex, Camille and Skimmer feeding in the ball with accuracy. The defenders have had such a great season, building their skills every game, not giving the opposion many opportunies to shoot! Proud to be the coach of these girls and hopefully things go our way in the next few weeks to give us a chance in finals! Calcua Kim Ross (Pure Luxe) and coaches award Libby Yeo (Wangolina Wines).

B

Grade: Robe 29 def by Mt Burr 56. A bit of a weird day, we weren't our regular selves. We had all the play but struggled to capitalise. We tried a few changes to boost morale but unfortunately couldn't shake the sillies out. Some passages of play were pure brilliance. We all had our bursts of greatness amongst the fog but we couldn't maintain the consistency to li us back into the game. In saying all that at least we all had a laugh and came off the court smiling, even if it was out of pure confusion. Calcua went to OG Tamar (Pure Luxe) a who played a solid game in WD pung immense pressure where needed. Incenve went to Billie (Wangolina Wines) who was solid at both ends and tried her hardest to boost the team.

B Reserve: Robe 43 drew to Mt Burr 43. Final home game for the season and what a cracker. 3 quarters of hard work and accurate shoong meant we led the game from the beginning. Unfortunately, the last quarter saw us ring and making small mistakes that were resulng in Mt Burr capitalising on some catch up goals. We definitely weren't going down without a fight and all dug in deep to keep going unl the end. Resulng in a draw in what was a tough game we couldn't be happier Calcua went to Neve (Pure Luxe), 4 quarters in centre is so easy task and she did incredible. The team gave the “coaches award” to super coach Rhi (Wangolina Wines) – who had an absolute cracker and made it a tough day for her opponents. All the hard work is finally paying off for us, unfortunately just a lile too late in the season. Top work team! See you all this week for our final game at Hatherleigh.

17 & Under: Robe 27 def by Mount Burr 58. We knew it was going to be tough, being two key players down and versing the always tough Mount Burr! The girls really impressed me with how they adapted to Millie and Leni (U15s) who both played ripper games and helped us immensely. Olivia (best – Steve's Place) and Lexi worked flat out to get as many

touches as they could, making Mount Burr work for every goal! Our speedy centre, Emily (coaches – Salubrious Hour) had aempt aer aempt, not giving up once. It was great to see mid courters Skye and Madi working the ball consistently and as usual accurate shoong from our GS Kiana. Although we went down, to win the last quarter was such a good boost to remind the team what we are capable of!

15 & Under: Robe 42 def by Mount Burr 43. The girls started out strong really seng the pass for how they wanted the game to go, scoring the first two goals straight off the bat. We kept the momentum for the first three quarters managing to hold our lead, unfortunately lile errors and redness set us back in the last quarter. The girls have learnt that you can't stop the game waing for a whistle to be blown. We had some beauful passages of play and the girls really make it look effortless at mes. We found that when we sele it's much easier to score on. Unfortunately we couldn't get back up and going down by 1 is somemes harder than going down by 10+. Best player went to Leni (Steve's Place) who once again worked relessly in defence. Coaches award went to Milla (Salubrious Hour) who stayed composed and worked the goal circle ll the final whistle. Bring on our last game at Hatherleigh.

13 & Under: Robe 14 def by Mt Burr 42. We knew coming into this game that it was going to be a tough game, Mt Burr are an incredibly strong side. Liv and Freya worked together well in the ring, with Lace and Kirby helping on the ring. Sas, Zoe and Ariah trying their hardest in our defence end against goalies that just didn't miss the ring. I did a quick change aer the first quarter adding Lex in but the Burr girls were just too good, their defensive pressure had our girls raled and everyone looked a bit flat and defeated. In the last quarter we had a huge shake up and everyone went to a new posion they had never played, it seemed to work as all the girls bounced back and went 100%! Best player went to Freya (Union Café), you are swapped from GS to GD seamlessly and absolutely killed it! You have been an absolute pleasure to coach this season and I look forward to watching you play again next year! My coaches award went to Lex (Salubrious Hour). Once again giving it your all and even shoong a few goals in the last quarter

Junior 1: These girls are a credit to themselves and our club. The way they all connue to play to the best they can, even with girls some 3 years older than them. Everyone played a great full 4 quarters not ever giving in or dropping their heads. Was so good to have Lydia back in the side, playing a great game and geng the incenve (Robe Netball Club). A big thanks to Malda who filled in, proving she is capable of playing a higher grade! Good work girls, one more to go!

Junior 2: An inconsistent game for our girls last week. With ten players again we had to make a lot of changes each quarter, which really impacted their play. Charloe and Malda worked hard together in defence early in the game, but unfortunately we just couldn't get the ball down to our end for a chance at goals during the first half. Jess and Halle led well all game through the middle.

Unfortunately our passing let us down again and we consistently lost the ball, aer our defenders worked hard to get it back, which was disappoinng. However, considering the age and size difference of the Mount Burr team, the girls never gave up and tried their hardest all game, which is great to see. Evie got today's incenve (Robe Netball Club) for having a great atude and giving her best all game!

NETball club notes nangwarry

Junior 2: We played at Glencoe, with only 5 girls from our regular team. The girls played super well. The improvement we have seen over this season has been amazing to watch and an honour to coach. Thank you to Maddie and Mia for filling this week, so the girls could play

Junior 1: Amazing game girls, you girls have improved so much! Beauful weather on our side again this weekend. Defence had nearly every touch to the ball this week, grabbing in them rebounds, side line throw in's improving. Our aack was incredible last week, working very hard to get the ball into the circle all it took was paence and talking. The encouragement on the court was outstanding! From moving posions you don't normally play and giving them all a go and giving it your best effort. Thank you to Loe & Sophie for playing a couple of quarters! Best players were Harper & Zoe.

13 & Under: Not our best game everyone. Nothing seemed to really work well for us no maer what we tried. You all gave it your all, but our passes and few other things that have been good for weeks just didn't work. We are all allowed to have a bad day, so glad though you all kept going, stayed posive and didn't give up no maer what posion you played. We did have a few good moments with some great leading and some good defensive work and you all kept your heads up. We will regroup at training and jump back into our normal game play this week.

15 & Under: Another beauful day saw Glencoe come out strong right from the first whistle. Some great plays from both teams with both defensive ends having to work hard and seeing some great intercepts. Glencoe played an awesome strong game and came out on top.

17 & Under: Last week was an excellent game from us. We came out strong and fought for the whole game and I couldn't be prouder of the girls. We started strong and were looking good but unfortunately our fundamentals let us down again. Our defence end was again very strong, our rebounding and circle pressure was fantasc. Our full court pressure was fantasc and we were able to get a lot of turnovers through the middle. Although we couldn't come away with the win we had a lot of posives to take away from this game and everyone should be proud of how they played. Our best players were

Sienna Lewis and Scarle Black.

B Reserve: What a game to watch, with some strong contests all over the court. Both teams worked hard across the board and there were some amazing plays by all. Nangwarry girls it's been great to see so much improvement and so much support for each other Congrats Glencoe on your win and good luck for the rest of the season.

B Grade: We achieved our highest goal score for the season. Well done to all. Again, all nine players combined well and gave every posion moved to ago which is all we can ask. Ellie and Nat had a great game combining well in goals for the last half. Ebony ran hard at centre and defence from Stevie, Amy and Chloe again was brilliant. We are a big chance to get our first win this week so let's connue our good form and give it our all.

A Reserve: A tough day for our girls last week, not a lot went in our favour. Thank you to Kaylee who stepped up for her third game on Saturday. She and Maddison moved well in the ring but just unlucky with shots not wanng to sck. Simone and Alisha fought hard in the mid court and once they became paent were able to move the ball well. Lyndall, Emily and Krissy had the hard task down in defence and never gave up no maer how many mes the ball kept coming. We just need to remember the basics of netball, clearing out, looking for space and the player who is free instead of forcing the pass.

A Grade: Week in week out we oen tell you girls that the score line does not reflect the game you play and last week was no different. From the sidelines there was not too much to fault. Taysha played a perfect game at WA and was able to feed well into the goalies for all 4 quarters. Sheridan was on the board early and from here her confidence grew she drove out hard and rebounded strong all game. Alice, Ebony and Michelle le nothing in the tank and were able to turnover a number of passes forcing Glencoe to make a number of errors. All 3 were able to drive the ball well into aack and Michelle's on court presence was felt. Kayla and Jemma had their work cut out for them but they stepped up to the challenge. Jemma played well and was a focal point in the defence third and was able to make space. Kayla was able to cause chaos in the ring making her opponent work hard geng her hands to a number of loose balls.

Junior 2: Nearing the end of the season and we were looking a lile red towards the end. We need to work on playing hard for a full 4 quarters. It was a very quick game and our opposion were very strong – credit to them Kalangadoo girls played fantasc netball. Evie played a great game and received the $5 voucher Another strong consistent game from Bailee who received the canteen voucher. Let's work hard at training on our centre passes and strong leads.

13 & Under: Great effort girls! Once again we adapted to all the changes swung and adjusted our game quickly which was fantasc to see. I am so proud of how much we are improving and your atudes on court. As always, there are skill errors that need to be cleaned up but it reflects in both the score and our vibes on court how much we have cleaned up our game across the season. Best on went to Belle (Club Award), Zoe A (The Spot) and Havi (Maccas) for going hard at the ball despite being put in different posions throughout the day and adapng quickly to the changes. Let’s train hard this week and enjoy our last few weeks together as a group!

15 & Under: Well done girls. We worked really hard considering we were missing our regular players and some girls playing in different posions. We worked well to feed into the circle under strong defence from K'doo. We all dug in deep and worked together unfortunately it just wasn't our day! You should all be proud of how you played. Special thanks to Sophie M and Zoe A for sing bench

for us. And Harmoni who came away with best on court ($10 Janeway Family). Other best players were Abby Brant (Kaboom), Addison Graney (Fasta Pasta) and Rahni Janeway (Stevens Family). Let’s knuckle down, focus on our own game and finish the next two weeks strong.

17 & Under: What a great game from you all! We knew it was going to be a tough game, but all I asked was for you to keep your head and that is exactly what you did! Loved having a fun last half with players in different posions and special shoutout to Riley in GS with her first career goal! Best players went to everyone! Let’s really enjoy our last 2 games together. Awards were canteen vouchers, Bunnings and Chemist King.

B Reserve: We played very well considering the body on body contest. Both ends had to work really hard in the second half considering we made a few errors in the first half. Our shooters really worked the circle well considering it was a new combinaon. Our pressure down the court worked the best it has all season. Best players Marnee Formosa and Grace Jacob.

A Reserve: A rough start to game! We spent the majority of the game playing catch up and trying effortlessly for turnovers. Samantha Ham had a great game, her consistency is upliing all game. Georgia Bald also had a great game in GS, she retrieved her own rebounds and capitalised on opmisc turnovers. Thank you to our sponsors for providing vouchers being The Commercial Hotel & The Springs.

NETball club notes

Junior 2: What a game! Our team started off a bit slow last week, but they certainly made up for it with a fantasc finish. The first half saw us finding our foong, working to get into the rhythm of the game. Despite the slow start, the team showed great determinaon and kept pushing forward. By the second half, everything clicked into place. The girls stepped up their game with strong passes, sharp intercepons, and accurate shoong. Their energy and teamwork really shone through, and it was amazing to see them supporng each other on the court. The final quarter was especially excing, with our players giving it their all and showing how much they've grown over the season. That fighng spirit led to a flurry of goals and some excellent defensive work. Well done, team! You've shown that no maer how you start, it's how you finish that counts. Keep up the great work! Our encouragement awards went to Sophie McRose and Ellie Day. Thank you to Bakers Delight and Subway Mt Gambier for donang these awards. Junior 1: Great game girls! You worked together to bring the ball down the court. We sll need to work on crowding on the court, but you have started to clear out and make room for someone else to come through. Emilee J (Baker's Delight) played a great game in defence staying on her toes. Zoe (Subway) was on fire in the goal circle shoong six goals.

13 & Under: Tantanoola 50 defeated Port MacDonnell 21. The girls played some great netball, the sun was shining but the girls played through the heat and played well! Torah and Roxy got many great intercepts in the defensive end, however we just need to keep possession all the way down the court and take our me. Peyton and Madison both played brilliantly taking turns in the centre posion during the heat whilst our goalies put up some great shots in the ring! Couldn't get a beer goal than when the girls shot when they were throwing the ball around and not looking trying to keep possession whilst almost falling out of court, offside etc! Great game girls, two games le keep your heads up and stay strong! Awards: Torah StaplesArena, Roxy Day - Fasta Pasta.

15 & Under: Tantanoola 53 defeated Port MacDonnell 28. With only having 6 of our 9 original players hing the court, we had our first loss for the season. All of the girls sll gave 100% even in posions they haven't played before. It was a very tough game and we missed our two leadership girls, Layla and Bailee. Although our girls sll fought ll the end we unfortunately went down by 15. We also had Lile Roxy Day who is in the under 13s team, step up to play WA and did an amazing job. She took home the Arena award. Our other award (Fasta Pasta) went to Chelsea Fulham who played an outstanding game at GK.

17 & Under: Tantanoola 33 defeated by Port MacDonnell 59. As the season draws closer to an end and with finals becoming a real possibility for our Port MacDonnell girls, they were excited to hit the court for another good hit out against Tantanoola. In sunny condions, we started a lile slow, Tant applying some real pressure defensively and converng on any opportunies sent their way. Bree Ridding was again an asset in our defensive lineup, her foot speed truly something incredible. Alicetyn Stanley also demonstrated her fantasc footwork and was able to use this to create stops and enable us the second chance scores we needed to put ourselves ahead at half me. Bella McLean had a brilliant game last week, controlling the pace of our aack line expertly in her 50th game for Port MacDonnell. She combined well with Sophie Lewis through the centre and Chloe Day in goals who all worked well to create space in offence. As the game progressed, it was Lilly Day who we turned to, relying on her mature and poised style of play to guide us towards the finish line. She provided a constant opon in the circle but also moved well up the court in transion, ensuring that the team had a safe opon at all mes. In the end, it was our girls who came away with the win despite a valiant effort from Tantanoola. With two games to go, our 17U team will be looking to secure their place in finals - definitely watch this

space for some excing netball to come!

Best: Bella McLean - Intersport, Lilly DayFasta Pasta.

B Reserve: Tantanoola 29 defeated by Port MacDonnell 58. In what can only be described as a defensive masterclass, our girls faced off against Tantanoola, one of our tougher competors in the league. With a performance that showcased heart, hustle, and a wall-like defence, we secured a crucial victory that keeps us firmly at the top of the ladder as we reach the down-hill run to finals. From the opening whistle, our defence was impenetrable. Every player in the defensive circle stepped up, reading the play perfectly, intercepng passes, and applying pressure that le the opposion struggling to find any rhythm. The sheer determinaon and teamwork on display were nothing short of inspiring. Our mid-court worked relessly to transion from defence to aack, moving the ball with precision and keeping the momentum in our favour. Their ability to support both ends of the court was key in maintaining our lead throughout the game. Up in the shoong circle, our aackers remained cool under pressure, sinking crucial goals that kept the scoreboard cking over But it was our defensive prowess that truly shone through, frustrang our opponents and forcing errors that we capitalised on at every turn. As the final whistle blew, we walked away with our heads held high. This win is a testament to the strength, resilience, and unity of our team. Our best players were beyond difficult to choose with each and every player leaving their mark, however Ainsley Mann maintained fantasc composure in the goal ring & Bridie McPherson had some impeccable intercepts both in and outside the defensive ring. Thank you to The Victoria Hotel & Shipwreck Bistro and The Bay Pizzeria for donang these awards. A big congratulaons to Eboni Benne who played her 50th club game on Saturday. Also a huge thank you to our team sponsors Diverse Concrete Co, S.Cram Concrete & Construcon, Onix Form & Construcon, Salem Moody - Make Up & Beauty, Cawthorne Fisheries, All Digital Hearing, Michelle Stuckey Flowers and Illuminate Dance Co.

B Grade: Tantanoola 40 defeated Port MacDonnell 37. Was a solid effort girls. We all worked really hard to miss out by 3. Some great rebounding by Ash and Stevie and great game by Kenz who was solid throughout. Couple of lile errors forced from ourselves but up from here. Let's work hard to finish the season strong. Best players: Mackenzie Millard - Fasta Pasta, Ashlee SchweregerLima and Co.

A Reserve: Tantanoola 39 defeated by Port MacDonnell 43. It was a hot day and Tant came out firing. We all had to work really hard to get ahead and stay there. When everyone is backing each other up and geng around each other you can all do incredible things. We have to keep working hard and doing all the one percenters. Defence worked incredibly relessly to get the turnovers. Aack once we're in the groove, moved the ball seamlessly. Big congratulaons to Lara Wilson who played her 150th game for the club on Saturday Great achievement! Best: Brooke Williams (The Bay Pizzaria), Lara Wilson (Victoria Hotel, Shipwreck Bistro).

A Grade: Tantanoola 49 defeated by Port MacDonnell 54. Slow start to the game for us and just shows how important a good warm up really is as it took us the first half to sele into the game. Our second half was definitely how we normally play, with good transions down the court, smart paent plays ensuring we weren't forcing the ball. Once again, our defensive pressure all over court was awesome and we kept fighng right to that final whistle. Kori had an awesome game in the goal circle, holding and posioning herself well making sure every opportunity counted. Emily secured vital turnovers, which we were able to bring down the court and capitalise on. Best: Kori Collins, sponsored by Australia Coastal Shipping (Voucher - Victoria Hotel, Shipwreck Bistro), Emily Thompson, sponsored by Lima and Co (Voucher - The Bay Pizzaria).

NETball club notes

Junior 2: What an amazing game! We played as a team and engaged in some fabulous netball. I am so proud of the improvement we have made over the year and parcularly over the past few weeks. Our movement from the enre court was so impressive, smoothly moving the ball from our defensive circle all the way down to our goals. We shot lots of goals and the crowd was very excited with how well we were playing. Everyone could have been best player, but Indianna was awarded best for trying so hard throughout the game and scking with her player and Addison and Isabella for their impressive game in goals. I can't wait to see what we can do over the next two weeks!

Junior 1: What a fantasc team game! We welcomed Billy back for his first real hit out and he played a fantasc game – first half in WA where he provided lots of drive down court and then a snt in defence geng lots of turnovers and finishing strongly with some beauful long range shots in goals earning himself best player! Encouragement went to Paige for great movement in the goal circle and fantasc rebounding when she was moved into defence. As a team we provided lots more opons down the court this week and were very encouraging all game. Thank you to Ruby J for hing the court for us –you did a great job! Keep working hard for the last two games!

13 & Under: Glencoe 51 defeated Nangwarry 18. What a fantasc team effort by all 8 players that hit the court. The intensity was there from the first whistle with some excellent defensive pressure and great finishing from Hallie and Abbie. The best part of our game was that we connued to be confident to look and pass longer passes which opened up the court. Charloe and Lily drove well onto the circle with some slick passing into the goal circle. Best players were Hallie (Key 2 Sale) and Lily with encouragement awards going to Charloe and Jaz (Kaboom).

15 & Under: Glencoe 67 defeated Nangwarry 14. Great game girls, it looked good all the way down the court. Goalies, your shoong was great and the confidence in the ring was amazing, mid court was strong applying pressure which gained us many turnovers. Defence was strong for the full 4 quarters which in turn gave us many turnovers which we were able to score. Best players were Layla Hawke who ran hard for a solid 4 quarters. Second best went to Violet Thorne for her good shoong and moving to create many opons. Encouragement went to Charloe Bignell who stepped up from 13s and also created many opons to move the ball.

17 & Under: Glencoe 40 defeated Nangwarry 38. Wow girls this was a tough four quarters of netball but to your credit you all kept going to the last whistle. Ruby, Jorja and Maddie played awesome in defence geng

their hands to plenty of touches. Alyssa, Montana and Sienna kept the movement going in aack. Mckayla ran hard all day taking lots of intercepts. We just need be paent when we get a turnover and hold our leads a lile longer. Best players: Ruby Buckley, Montana Biggins and Jorja Owen.

B Reserve: Glencoe 52 defeated Nangwarry 19. Well done on our win girls! We were mostly seled, moved the ball well, backed each other more and were more conscious of creang space. The ball moved from one end of the court to the other smoothly and seamlessly at mes to score. We also were able to quickly score on our centre passes with some great passing and quick movement. Thank you to Montana for sing bench and filling in for us at centre in which you did a great job! Best players were Alarna and Jorja Burdon!

B Grade: Glencoe 58 defeated Nangwarry 30. A good win girls. We came out slow in the first quarter with some basic errors and looked very flat. We turned it around for the rest of the game and played a much stronger and smarter style of netball. Kate, Gemma and Emma provided excellent drive through the mid court and fed well into the circle. Our goalies, Bri and Jorja, moved well and shot from anywhere in the circle. Kayla and Alarna worked hard all game to create plenty of turnovers in defence and our defensive pressure down the court was fantasc to see. First best went to Kayla for her defensive pressure and rebounding in the circle. Second best went to Jorja for her movement in the circle and excellent shoong. Let's come out hard this week and get another win on the board!

A Reserve: Glencoe 74 defeated Nangwarry 13. Good to bounce back with a convincing win aer last round’s result. A big thank you to Jorja for filling in for us and playing two full games and to Sally for sing bench. Best players went to Tameka and Jorja. Let's work hard to get the results in these final two games.

A Grade: Glencoe 72 defeated Nangwarry 17. What a crazy game. A big thank you to Madeline and Chloe for filling in for us and congratulaons to Chloe for making your A Grade debut – all be it in an unknown posion. You did a great job with just a mini crash course in circle defence and awesome to see you pull in some rebounds and get some touches. We were missing some key players but our team stepped up and took on a larger workload. Best player went to Ashlea who found plenty of back space to drive onto circles edge and ulised some awesome fakes to find our goalies. Second went to Alice for her hard running in the middle; being a reliable opon in aack and geng hands to lots of balls in defence. Let's sele back into our regular line up for this game and be ready to play out a strong four quarter game.

Junior 2: What a fantasc game by you all. You showed that even though we had some girls away, you could sll come together and play an amazing team game. The effort on both ends of the court was lovely to see. You helped support Gracie who filled in and welcomed her into the team with open arms. The teamwork, communicaon and passing was excellent, it is great to see how close you girls are. The Acky's award went to Macy who in her first game for a while had an awesome quarter in goals, shoong and passing well and worked really hard on her scky feet. The McDonald's award went to Paige who showed leadership with her passing and looked unstoppable on the defensive end. A big thank you to Gracie for filling in for us, you improved over the game and we loved having you play with us!

Junior 1: A great game girls, you all adapted well to the slippery condions. Our movement in the goal circle was great and we transioned out of defence well. Our defence all over the court was amazing! The awards went to Zariah (Acky's), Malda (Fasta Pasta) and Eva (Zambreros). Thanks to Macy for umpiring!

13 & Under: Well done girls. The weather was foggy at Robe and different condions to play in. We played a great team game for 4 quarters, which is great to watch. Our hands over the ball are geng stronger with every game, with that pressure creang many turnovers all over the court. Also finding our player in aack or defence is improving each week, which we are working on at training. It's great to see those things we are working on at training, be applied on Saturdays. Keep working hard and come out firing against Tantanoola today. Thanks to Michaela for scoring and Maddy G for umpiring.

15 & Under: Wow! I am so proud of the effort you all put into the game to come from 7 behind to win is amazing! The dedicaon and hard work at training is paying off such a fantasc game with the defence stepping up and creang opportunies for the aack to penalise. Best players went to Holly Lowndes (Subway), Becky Davis (Kaboom) and Gemma Salo (Ackys).

17 & Under: Great win in a game where everyone worked together as a team. Great work adapng to posional changes each quarter. At mes we were a lile relaxed and passed to a covered player. There were great passages of play down

court out of defence and from the centre into the goal circle. Goalies rotated the goal circle well to make good scoring opportunies. Great to see you chase down balls and control the play. It is important that we remember to play our court structures, even when we feel like we have the flow of the game. Well done to Olivia for winning the Somerset voucher and Lola and Sarah for receiving Subway awards. Thanks Kelly for scoring and Heidi for umpiring.

B Reserve: Robe 43 - Mount Burr 43. What a great fun game. With lots of highlights for our team. Thanks to Holly Lowndes and Sarah Sigston for helping us to the draw. Let's connue to keep improving and enjoy each other on the court. Thanks to our sponsors for our awards last week, Millicent Florist, Zambreros and Heaven on a Hanger

B Grade: Aer coming off a heavy loss last round against Hatherleigh, we knew we had to regroup. Well you did that what a fantasc team game you all played. Caity, Stace and Nic playing a ght defence taking many intercepts and rebounds. Charloe, Zoe and Bri were able to move the ball down the court and Maddie, Sienna and Tilley working reless in the goal circle converng Robe’s missed opportunies. Lilly making some strong leads and passes into the circle. We chased loose balls and backed each other up. Thanks to Amy for scoring and Leila for umpiring. Awards: Heaven on a Hanger - Caity, Zamberos - Charloe, Subway - Lilly

A Reserve: In our match against Robe, we were faced with some challenges and foggy condions. The game started off slowly for us, which unfortunately gave Robe the opportunity to take control early on. They quickly gained the lead, and despite our efforts to catch up, we found it difficult to regain momentum. Our sluggish start, not only allowed Robe to dominate the opening minutes but also put us on the back foot for the rest of the game. As we tried to close the gap, their confidence grew, making it even harder for us to regain possession. We had some great passages of play but unfortunately that wasn't quite enough. Going down to Robe now means we are unable to make finals. The next two games will be tough ones as well, but we are going to finish off the season strong! Best players for the day were Leila WallisDenton’s Sportspower, Ava SmithMuhovics - Heaven on a Hanger

A Grade: We had a tough game ahead of us, needing a win to keep our finals hopes alive. Unfortunately, our goals just didn't drop in the first half, which made it tough to stage a comeback. Despite our best efforts, Robe was stronger on the day and outplayed us. Thank you Lisa for umpiring & Alan for scoring. Awards went to Megan (Muffin Break), Ashlee (Gino's), Laura (Gino's), Olivia (Since Fiy Six) & Ella (Ducky's Surf).

TANTANOOLA

NETball club notes

Junior 2: Great work girls. We definitely play our strongest game when the sun is out! In the beginning, they used their height to their advantage and put us under pressure, forcing us to make simple errors. We quickly adjusted though and began to play our game, cung in front, creang some fluent passages of play down the court. Our goalies moved well in the circle, creang space for each other and using our ring to reset. Defence was able to read the ball well and created plenty of turnovers. Best players: Ellie Perry, Tant canteen voucher - you had some excellent strong hard drives & were always an opon when you were needed. Lexi Johnson - Donut Kingexcellent defence, hands were always close to the ball, stopped the ball mulple mes before the opposion were able to get it into their goalies. Great work girls.

Junior 1: A very slow start in our last game but we gradually picked up during the 4 quarters. We were very cluered through the mid court & we need to remember our spacing on court no maer what posions we are in. Everyone got a Maccas voucher, but special menon as another solid game from Shelbi who makes it so extremely tough for the opposion to get into the goal third when she puts on that GD bib. Also to Stella who has been missing her partner in crime (Daisy) the last 2 weeks but has connued to sink those shots in the goal circle, and to Lidia who is our consistent work horse at C & gives it her all every week. Well done girls.

13 & Under: Wow, last week was our best game yet as a whole team. The ball flowed down court with good decision making & ming of leads. Jaycie & Emie started strong in the defence circle making it hard for their goalies. Zahli connued this when she stepped on court using her height well. Stella put good pressure on her player at WD & got a few good intercepons. Through the middle Renae, Pip & Liv were careful of each other's space, ming their leads well & fed the ball easily to our goalies Kailee & Nyree who presented strong in the ring. Well done to you all. Only 2 more games to go, so let's finish the season strong & proud. Zahli made good use of her height & is listening well to advice on court receiving The Property Co Award. Nyree a bit unsure at first but aer a confidence booster really stepped up & owned her goalie posion receiving the Tant Canteen Award. Pip was confident on her leads, trying new things we learnt at training & stepped into C well receiving the Tant Canteen Award.

15 & Under: When we all play to our potenal at the same me, follow game plans and work as a team good things happen! Admiedly Pt Mac was undermanned this me but we had already shown in the first round (losing by just 8) that we couldn't be taken lightly. Can't praise our team enough for their concentraon, composure and a marked improvement in execung their skills - truly the win was a well earned reward! Best players: Alice, well assisted and supported by Tamika (Denton's Sportspower), Malda, combining so well with defensive partner Rachael (Devine Gis). Astyn (Devine Gis) leading the transion

through centre court with Peyton, Summah and Lexi all proving how well they can play with lots of touches and some great passing.

17 & Under: Aer a challenging game last round, the girls came out firing. A really good game as a team, resulng in a ght tussle for possession down the court. Bethan, Hailey and Poppy all moved well with speed in the goals, being fed with accuracy by Demi and Kailah. Was great to see some more energy on court and a great work rate all game. Isla worked well to earn a good rebound posion. Molly (Fasta Pasta award) had another great game, turning over lots of balls with intercepons and grabbing loose balls. Well done girls!

B Reserve: A tough day at the office, especially for our circle defenders who despite their efforts had no answer to the height and mobility of Pt Mac's shooter. The fact that our missed opportunies and unforced errors kept the ball coming back at an alarming rate did not help our cause. Pt. Mac are well clear at the top of the ladder for a reason - they are a very good side! Awards: Riley (Somerset) Chloe and Leah ( Devine Gis).

B Grade: Another lovely day at Tant last week with the warmer weather proving to be challenging. We knew this was going to be a tough game as Pt Mac fight to stay in the top 4. I'm so happy with the way everyone played and gave it their all. We all worked really hard as a team and kept level headed. Some strong movement in the goal circle and smooth plays by Hijisa and Lauren. Great defensive pressure all over the court. We worked on not forcing the ball in, taking our me with a few extra passes to work it in down the aack end. A few things to go over at training but over all a great game! Thank you to Poppy for sing bench for us. Best players went to Indi and Danni R. A Reserve: In another warm day the Tigers hosted the Demons and aer the first quarter the scores were locked at 11 all. The second was a very one sided affair with the Tigers only scoring 3 and the Demons 11. Posional changes saw a different line up hing the court. These changes took the pace out of the aack line up and worked a treat. Defensive efforts from Dakota, Eva, Sophie and Lucy were causing headaches for the Demons goalies. Coming into the final quarter the Tigers were down by 5 going into the quarter Each player should be extremely proud of themselves. We pushed hard and nearly got there. Best: Dakota HateleyNew Heaven Restaurant, Eva BondeKelsey Wright Fitness.

A Grade: Disappoinng for us not to stay with Port MacDonnell in the final stages of the game aer some pleasing court-play at both ends giving us a small lead in the third. Casey's (Sassi Award) work rate and passes through the mid court were great, whilst Emma (Kelsey Wight Fitness Award) provided a focal point. Bella and Kate's rebounding/ps and Shelby's drives out of defence connue to give us opportunies whilst Jami and Kate connue to work hard in the aackline. Paence is the key, and something we need to connue to work on in the coming weeks.

round 16 A GRADE MATCH Reviews

Kongorong 32 lost to Kalangadoo 78

Kongorong took on the inform Kalangadoo on their home court. The first quarter saw equal use of the ball with the Magpies using it more efficiently with some great feeding to the goal circle from Jayde Peacock. They set the pace for the game being up 19 to 6 at the end of the first quarter.

Second quarter saw the Hawks Emily Lightbody and Rach Perry working hard in defence but the Kalangadoo shooters were showing great accuracy at the ring with Abbey Duncan shoong 8 from 9 and Ebony McDiarmid 11 from 15. This saw the Hawks down by 24 at half me with some work to do.

Third quarter the Hawks mixed it up with some posion changes and then some taccal changes during the quarter. This did slow the flow of the game, and once again the Hawks defence working hard to put pressure on the Magpies in the circle but it was going to be a big ask.

Fourth quarter saw the Magpies step it up with their defence doing some great work in the ring. Shooters Abbey and Ebony's accuracy one to be reckoned with once again rarely missing. Abbey's accuracy shoong 10 from 12 and Ebony 15 from 19. Hawks mixing it up a lile giving Evie Sealey and run in the centre but in the end, it was an easy win to the away team.

Robe 55 defeated Mount Burr 38

First quarter: Robe was determined to keep their finals aspiraons alive in their clash against Mt Burr. With Mt Burr also baling for a spot in the finals and facing a couple of tough games ahead, both teams came out firing in the first quarter Robe’s defensive circle pressure, led by Alannah Campbell and Emillie Gould, was relentless, capitalising on Mt Burr's missed goal opportunies with strong rebounds and smart play-reading. On the offensive end, Demi Carter expertly managed the aack line, ensuring that control and paence were maintained as the ball was fed into the goal circle. Finishing the 1st quarter Robe 16 Mount Burr 9.

Second quarter: In the second quarter, Mt Burr intensified their defensive pressure, effecvely halng Robe's offensive momentum. They forced numerous short passes and ensured dynamic movement had to be made from Robe goalies. Despite this, Robe’s Sophie Bates and Emillie Gould applied relentless pressure on Mt Burr's centre passes, leading to unforced errors and giving Robe a disnct advantage. At half me, the score was 31-16 in favour of Robe.

Third quarter: Maddie Hagge proved to be a formidable target for Mt Burr in the third quarter, benefing from precise feeds by Laura Schultz. This dynamic duo made it exceedingly difficult for Robe's defence to disrupt their play. Consequently, Mt Burr managed to close the gap, with Robe narrowly winning the quarter by just one goal. Despite this, Lucy Perkins stood out as the best player, using her preliminary movement to drive strongly into the centre circle while maintaining impressive fitness and intensity throughout. Robe 41, Mount Burr 25.

Fourth quarter: Mt Burr persisted with their pressure in the final quarter, but Robe's resilience proved too much to overcome. A strategic adjustment saw Sophie Bates move to centre (C) and Annie Regnier shi to wing defence (WD), allowing Robe’s A Grade team to reset and regain control. Robe finished the quarter strong, sealing the game with a final score of 55-38. Best playersRobe: Lucy Perkins & Demi Carter; Mount Burr: Megan Thiele & Ella Easterby
