April is a National Stress Awareness Month. And, here at FUSE we hope that you take the time to unwind and enjoy life as you flip through our latest labor of love. Yes, putting FUSE Magazine together is a tough job. But, someone has to do it! Of course, meditating, keeping a happiness journal, and helping others are great ways to stress less. We humbly, yet firmly, believe that browsing the FUSE Magazine pages full of beautiful ladies is the quickest ways to get to the stress l-e-s-s state of mind and stay there much, much longer. After all, beauty and stress as inversely related! As one talented girl once said, “God will never give you anything you can’t handle, so don’t stress.” The only thing we can add, enjoying a view of gorgeous ladies as created by world class photographers, artists, and models of FUSE will enhance any experience, stressful or not.XOXO

Caitlin O’Connor is an American actress, model, and television

host. Caitlin appeared in the series finale of Two and a Half Men. She also recently starred in a national commercial for Dave & Buster’s and another for the Game Show Network’s “Baggage on the Road,” both airing in the spring of 2015. She also featured in the upcoming promo for Steven Spielberg’s new television endeavor Public Morals. She is best known for her appearance in Maxim Magazine as both their “Helpful Hottie” advice girl and one of the “top ten hottest girls in America.” In 2014, Caitlin filmed a national spot for Budweiser Black Crown and PepsiNext online. She was born in West Hollywood and grew up in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Her print campaign credits include Target, Macy’s, Sons of Anarchy, Nickelodeon’s The Bratz, Xbox, Pert Plus, DreamGirl Int’l, and Catch Surf. She has logged airtime as a regular actress on the MTV series Chelsea Settles and has appeared in over 100 music videos as an actress or dancer. As a host, Caitlin has had assignments on FOX News and Maria Menounos’ AfterBuzz TV. In 2013, Caitlin played “Mirabelle” in the Machinima-produced web series “Tumbleweed.” Caitlin has been included in Sports Illustrated’s Lady of the Day section for seven times, and featured on “TMZ on TV,” The Ricki Lake Show, and The Doctors on CBS as a guest panelist.

ow did you get started as a glamour photographer? Well, I didn’t even start off as a photographer. I was a body painter doing commissioned jobs for photo shoots. I will always bring my dad’s old 30D with me to take behind the scenes pictures, pretty soon some of the girls started to like my photos. So, I then started to do shoots on my own, and the girls I painted wanted ti experiment with ideas, outfits and locations. How did you get so good at it? Practice, Practice, Practice. At one time, I shot for two months straight, I would shot or go out and walk around with my camera. Photography is like a muscle the more you work on it, the more it becomes defined. What are your favorite types of shoots? It’s hard to say, I like shoots where it is more relaxed and fun than serious, I like my models to open up and be themselves. What is your inspiration and how do you plan shoots? Inspiration can come from anywhere, sometimes I’ll just be walking around my city and see a cool prop, and it just speaks to me and used it. Tumblr is also a huge inspiration because of how many random and awesome photos on there. I often plan a shot by myself and then try to find a model to fit it, sometimes I sit on an idea for months before I do it. What makes a good model, what impresses you? I think confidence is key, I can put a girl in a ridiculous outfit but as long she has the confidence to rock it no one questions it. Beauty isn’t everything; it helps but if a girl doesn’t have the confidence to back it up then it means nothing to me. Also posing is important, I like models to bring it when they shoot, I do my job, they do theirs and that’s how great photos are made. Is there a particular “look” of other factors you go for when selecting what models you work with? Weirdly enough hair, I love models with big crazy hair, I have no idea why but I feel like it makes for excellent photos. I try to seek models that are unique and different; some photographers only have one type of model they shoot which limits them. What is the most challenging aspect of this job? I think not receiving respect from people for doing photography, a large majority of people think it’s just simple to pick up a camera and take a picture. But they don’t understand how much talent and hard work goes into it, hours editing, thousands of dollars on equipment. Its like people are blind, and don’t see what the difference is between an iPhone picture and someone who knows what they are doing.

How do you set yourself apart from all the other glamour photographers? Its all in the way we see things honestly, if you put four photographers in a room with a window they would all shoot it differently, some would shut the window and use strobes, others would use natural lighting, we are all just lenses and perceive things in or own point of view. but I definitely like breaking away from the norm or ill look at a girls portfolio and shoot her in something that she isn’t used to, take her out of her element. Tell us about your favorite shoot you ever did? I think, it was when I shot Angela Mazzanti for the first time; she was the biggest model I have ever worked at the point, and for the first time I didn’t have to worry about posing a model or me doing a majority of the work. From then on it opened my eyes to what a higher caliber model could do for your work. How much instruction do you give your models when they are positing? Well, first timers it is usually 100% of me posting them, which is boring might as well be just shooting by myself with a manikin. But with experienced models I like to have their influence on the poses, so the shoot can be a better representation of them. How much creative direction are you involved with when planning a shoot? As I said before I like to have the influence of the models on my work. The photos come out better when two people come together and combine ideas. Also, they become more excited and passionate about what we are shooting. If they do have a specific shot in mind, I take over the direction of the shoot. But I usually split the ideas and planning 100/100, and I say 100/100 because I expect them to bring their full talent to the table, not just 50/50. What are your favorite locations and/or light set-ups? I love natural lighting and wood floors; that is my bread and butter, if that’s not accessible I usually just go for a mono light set up and do some deep shadows. What is your best advice for aspiring glamor photographers? Probably the best thing I could say to someone is “don’t be a creep”. It is a weird tip but in the modeling community word spreads fast, reputation is everything, if you build a bad reputation for yourself people won’t want to associate with you or your name. Respect goes a long way. We know that each of us has someone or something,

which inspires our life and work. Can you tell us the true basis of your inspiration? My father inspired me; I am a first generation American in my family, and everyone before me worked in 110 degree weather working fields just to build a future for us. As my dad went to high school he began to shoot as well and he has now been shooting 20+ years and as I started to pursue photography it really created a bond for us, often times he comes home to me shooting at the house with crazy props and a bunch of people there and he just makes himself a part of the shoot and offers his perspective on angles and such. Is there anybody or anything you would love to photograph? Japan would be somewhere Id probably fall in love with, I love the beauty of the culture and how different they are from us and how different we are from them I think it would be interesting. What talent would you most like to have? Time management, its hard to keep a balance between sleep and editing at 3am. If you could have a photo shoot with anyone who is famous or dead who would it be? The queen Madzilla, she has shot with so many great people, and I have always admired her work. What gives you ideas and inspires you to create such awesome imagery? Lighting mostly, sometimes I see light filtering into a room at a certain time of day, and it just inspires me to shoot there. Lighting is everything, and colors, I like to walk through paint sample sections at stores at just feel how vibrant they are and pull ideas or themes just from swatches. Where would be your dream destination for a photo shoot? I have been to Hawaii often, but I’ve never had an opportunity to shoot much there, which be frustrating when you have all these locations, and there is no one to shoot with. What is the most challenging part about being a photographer for you? People, they are a tremendous challenge because photography is life, and there is nothing else that I love as much and when people don’t take my time seriously it offends me on a higher level. So when people lag or show up late, it ruins my whole vibe. What is your best photography tip? To be artistic and creative, listen to your gut and and don’t be afraid to be who you are, when you have original ideas is when you stand out the most.

i, I’ve teamed up with FUSE magazine to bring you a little more insight to my life and a taste of England! I’m really pleased to be apart of the magazine and I feel it’s fantastic to get the chance to have a little say, so thanks FUSE!! I’ve been a fan of the magazine for months now, it’s always full of beautiful woman and very talented photographers, I do like to get my little “Fuse Fix” when I purchase it and spend the afternoon looking through and admiring all the work! I’ve been lucky enough to have been featured twice now and even cooler for this to be my third feature! Yey!! It’s always great to have the magazine land on my doorstep and even better when you see yourself inside right?! I’ve recently worked on this set of images with my lovely photographer Andy Owen who did a great job helping me create these...it’s always great fun to work with Andy and we seem to always have a good giggle and capture some awesome shots!! “I think these are by far my favourite images”...okay maybe top 2 atleast! Hehe. Andy is a great photographer and I’ve worked with him for the last 4years, he’s done well to put up with me hehe. Personally I’m quite busy wrapped up in family life so it was nice to catch up on some modelling and really enjoy it. England is starting to look less drab and more spring like! Yey. Which is my favourite time of year, all the cute new animals are born, the sun is out, beautiful flowers start to blossom. It’s such a gorgeous time of year. I’m still yet to see the new Fifty Shades of Grey film, which has taken over the cinemas here in the UK, I’ve herd mixed reviews on it but I am looking forward to getting round to seeing it sometime soon. Modelling wise for me at the minute is going through a calm phase; which gives me time to catch up on my admin, emails and orders for all my new merchandise ‘how exciting!!’. I have new posters and iPhone cases being designed and printed as we speak, which is always a great time for me (but a busy one with all the signing and sending). I do really enjoy that side of the job though, it’s nice to take the time to go through it all and kind of thank my fans for the support and love. I keep a regular eye out on the FUSE Magazine Instagram page for new models and images as I’m such a big fan myself, it’s always great to see models take a selfie with their feature in their hands (I too have done this twice myself and will no doubt again!!) but it think it’s a great new trend and should be ongoing!! Keep it up FUSEMAGAZINE, Great to be apart of it. Thanks Sammy x x”
