Cheyenne Police Detectives are seeking information about a burglary that occurred at Burri Jewelers located at 2206 Dell Range Blvd.
The suspect shattered a glass window to gain entry, damaged display cases and stole a felony amount of jewelry. Surveillance video shows the individual walking through the back parking lot wearing a white and gray hooded jacket, light colored sweatpants, white tennis shoes and an orange backpack.

Federal Grant for CDL Program at LCCC
Tuition costs for a limited number of active or former military members and eligible family members seeking commercial driver license training will be covered by a new federal grant at Laramie County Community College, 1400 East College Drive, for up to 15 eligible participants. LCCC’s Commercial Driver’s License program combines classroom instruction with behind-the-wheel training. Laramie County DUI Victim Impact Panel
Laramie County DUI Victim Impact Panel will be held January 26. All panels are held at LCCC in the Center for Conferences, Room 130, 1400 East College Drive, start time is 6:30pm sharp (doors will lock at 6:30pm). Please arrive at 6:00pm6:15pm for check in. The Mission of the Laramie County DUI Impact Panel is to stop drunken and drugged driving and to create awareness regarding the tragic consequences of this event. Panel members share their life stories regarding the issue of impaired driving in the hope of preventing life altering tragedies from continuing to occur. The panel is normally held on the last Monday of every other month. If you are interested in speaking for or being a part of the Impact Panel, please call 307214-5444 to confirm the schedule. Cost is $40 cash for those required to attend by the courts, probation and parole, or treatment and who need proof of attendance. The Southeast Wyoming Estate Planning Council invites professionals in the area to consider becoming a member. The SEWEPC is made up of dedicated professionals in the legal, accounting, financial services, trust and foundation professions working with clients to help them with their estate planning needs. Estate planning is not just for the wealthy. Everyone has an estate, and they want to be able to dispose of their “things” according to their wishes. The Council helps bring different disciplines together for the common good of the client. Meetings are held monthly September-May, the last Tuesday of the month, at noon at the Metropolitan, 1701 Carey Avenue, unless otherwise announced at hosted location. The 17th annual “Wake Up to Heart Health” event will be on Saturday, February 7 from 9:00am1:00pm at the Blue Community Events Center, 2401 East Pershing Boulevard. Laramie County School District 1 is seeking nominations for the 2026 LCSD1 Educational Support Person of the Year (ESPY) and Teacher of the Year (TOY) awards. Two ESPY awards are granted each year. The Student Support award is presented to a support person who works directly with students as their primary duty (paraeducators, tutors, bus drivers, etc.) Other support staff are eligible for the District Support award (janitors, technical support staff, administrative assistants, etc.)
ESPY nominees must be LCSD1 staff members who have a minimum of
one year of continuous employment with LCSD1 prior to nomination. They must also continue to work in LCSD1 through the 2025-2026 school year. Supervisors are ineligible. ESPY nominees are scored based on their nomination forms. The deadline for ESPY nominations is Monday, Feb. 2. The TOY award is presented to one LCSD1 teacher selected from three finalists: an elementary teacher, a junior high teacher, and a high school teacher. The selected teacher will be eligible to submit an application for the 2026-2027 Wyoming Teacher of the Year competition.
TOY nominees must be Wyoming certified classroom teachers in a state-approved or accredited school. They must also plan to continue an active teaching career with LCSD1 through the 2026-2027 school year. The deadline for nominations is Friday, Feb. 6.
Teachers and support staff may be nominated by LCSD1 staff, students and community members. They may also self-nominate.
