Voter Drop-In and Election Job Fair

The Laramie County Clerk, in partnership with the Cheyenne League of Women Voters, will host a voter “drop-ins” and election “job fair” at the Laramie County Library, 2200 Pioneer Avenue, in the Willow Room on Saturday, June 18, 1:00pm4:00pm. The public will get information on registration, voter ID, voting options and serving their community as an election judge. The clerk’s office is recruiting judges from the Democratic, Libertarian or Constitution parties as well as voters who are unaffiliated. Judges must be at least 16 years of age, be a U.S. citizen and Laramie County resident. Basic computer skills are required. Primary election day is August 16, with early and absentee voting starting July 1. The general election is November 8. Chalk Art Festival Coming to Superday

We’re calling anyone and everyone who would like to create a chalk masterpiece during Superday on Saturday, June 25, in Lions Park. Artists can work solo, or as a pair on one 4’x4’ sidewalk square near the Botanic Gardens, 710 South Lions Park Drive. The registration fee for solo artists is $20 and $30 for pairs. The theme for this year’s contest will be “Have a Ball!” All artists must state the specific image based on this theme to be drawn prior to confirmation of participation in Superday. Festival organizers reserve the right to deem subject matter inappropriate, this is a family friendly event, keep that in mind when deciding what to create. Friday Night Inflatables

The Cheyenne Aquatic Center, 931 Martin Esquibel Drive, is introducing a new event on Friday evenings, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. The Aquatic Center will host Friday Night Inflatables which will feature two brand new constant airflow inflatable obstacle courses. In order to accommodate families with children unable to use the inflatable, the rec pool will be open during this time. However, in order to slowly work the inflatables into the regular scheduled programs this will not be available at the initial two Friday events. You must be over the age of 8 or pass a Cheyenne Aquatic Center swim test prior to attending, these can be done anytime the pool is open, should staffing allow. Entry will be $9 per person using the inflatables. They will be available for rent for private parties hosted on Saturday and Sunday nights. Reservations are now open.

Albin Alumni Banquet
