STAFF RESOURCES

One of my 2026 goals was to bring meaningful life resources to our staff to help improve their overall quality of life. Our first resource was Foundations of Finance, presented by Maximized Growth—Tasha and Walter Carter (Dave Ramsey Certified Financial Literacy Coaches). Seven staff members attended this six week course, which educated them on budgeting, credit, mindset, the importance of discipline, saving, and goal setting. We celebrated their success by presenting them with Certificates of Completion at a special dinner and celebration at Wynlakes (see picture below).

Wynlakes’ ultimate goal is to provide excellent experiences for our members and their guests. It is our staff who make those experiences possible. Investing in the holistic well-being of our staff helps produce significant organizational benefits, including reduced burnout, enhanced productivity, boosted employee morale, and a stronger culture. We will continue seeking additional resources for our staff, so if your business could help support this initiative, please contact me. When we help improve their lives outside of work, they bring their best selves to work each day.

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH FEBRUARY - ISAIAH DANIELS

Wynlakes is proud to recognize Isaiah Daniels as our February Employee of the Month. A dedicated member of our Grounds Team, Isaiah has served the club for an incredible 40 years, with 41 years coming up this October—a true testament to his commitment and pride in his work. Isaiah enjoys working alongside coworkers he considers friends and takes pride in operating equipment to maintain the course. His favorite part of the job is seeing the results of his hard work and watching members enjoy a beautiful course. Outside of work, Isaiah enjoys singing in the church choir, traveling, and spending time with his wife and grandkids. He says the relationships he has built over the years are what make Wynlakes so special. A fun fact—Isaiah loves to sing and play softball! Isaiah is also a previous Employee of the Year recipient.

BACK PAIN BODYWORK & MASSAGE THERAPY

Next to the common cold, back pain is the most frequent complaint heard by doctors.

Massage kneads away tension in the muscles, as well as relieving discomfort in surrounding areas that are “guarding” in response to the pain. It increases circulation, allowing healing nutrients and oxygen into the tissue.

Don’t forget we have GIFT CARDS for birthdays and special occasions. Call Foad, today.

SUPERVIEWS by Brad Barron

Spring has started to arrive which brings nice temperatures, longer days and hopefully a little rain , we are very dry. We are in the full swing of things with maintenance on the course. You will see a lot of definition start to take place.

We have already started our topdressing program on the greens. We will follow the same practices as last year and continue to topdress lightly every week from now through the growing season. We have completed our wall to wall fertilizer application. This is a great time to get out your fertilizer at home if you haven’t already. We have also started our soil fertility program on the greens. This program is used this time of year to promote growth of the plant tissue and roots coming out of dormancy. We will also start to gradually lower the height of cut on the greens towards the middle of this month. We have already started the tee and fairway program with fungicide applications mixed with fertilizer and insecticide treatments. This will start these areas off with great growing conditions to heal up coming out of winter. We will also start to get in a more consistent schedule on our mowing patterns, you will see us out more frequently on fairways, tees, collars and 1st cut of rough. We have also started edging bunker faces.

This is an exciting time of year on the golf course. Everything is waking up, the colors of spring are showing and the smell of flowers and fresh cut grass are in the air. This is one of my favorite times of year. The dullness of winter has left and the beauty of spring is here. See you on the course!
