Spring is right around the corner, and I suspect you will agree that the sunshine and warmer weather is much needed for our souls.
The past two months have been active with member events. We honored 85 teens at Wynlakes 15th Annual Swan Ball. Approximately 45% of these teens (families) have been members of Wynlakes since they were born. Now that’s pretty special. It’s an

honor to sponsor this event each year and highlight your teens/grand-teens. We also hosted our annual FatherDaughter Dance and Mother-Son event in February. These are simply fun times! Photos of these events can be found in this issue of Wyndows.
PROJECTS WE ARE WORKING ON
• Bridge Project/Course: At the writing of this article, our bridge contractor seems to be a bit ahead of schedule. At the distribution of this newsletter, we are hoping the bridge will be 95% complete. We are excited to see the new bridge. Thank you to Site Pros for the bridge demolition and York Bridge Concepts for the bridge installation. Both companies have been very pleasant to work with. We have also performed maintenance/painting to the gazebo/restroom and will also be repairing parts of the retaining walls around #4 green and #5 tee. A few trees have also come down between holes 1-9.
• Courtyard Project: We have taken down the overgrown trees behind the courtyard wall, replaced the wood pergola, replaced electrical and all landscape lighting. The view overlooking #18 green and the lake/ fountain is simply breathtaking.
Membership: If you have had friends or business associates on the fence about joining Wynlakes, NOW is the time! Our 40th Anniversary membership promotional plan is unprecedented. As we focus on “40th” and the year “1986”, contact Nichole Goff to receive membership information reflecting a significant initiation fee reduction until July 31st, 2026. Help them reap the benefits of a country club membership for a very low, once in a lifetime,
initiation fee. PRIMARY sponsors will enjoy one month’s dues credit of the joining member. Refer them TODAY!
Our Wyn-Team is currently planning Easter activities, Mother’s Day and Member/Guest. ALL 3 events will require early reservations as they fill up quickly. Information on how to make reservations are in this issue of Wyndows.

Wynlakes Golf & Country Club is proud to recognize Julius Wigfall as our November Employee of the Month. Julius (known around the Club as Juju) is a valued member of our Maintenance Department and has been part of the Wynlakes family for four years. Julius says what he enjoys most about working at Wynlakes is the opportunity to learn new things and develop new skills. His favorite part of the job is painting. Outside of work, Julius enjoys spending quality time with his family, which he values most. He shares that what motivates him to do his best each day is the coworkers he works alongside. For Julius, Wynlakes is special because of its family-like work atmosphere. A fun fact about Julius— He was 2022 Employee of the Year and he loves to mud ride in his free time!
Please join us in congratulating Julius Wigfall on being named Wynlakes November Employee of the Month. We appreciate you Juju!
Wynlakes Golf & Country Club is excited to recognize Jessie Floyd as our December Employee of the Month. Jessie is a dedicated member of our Food & Beverage Department and has been part of the Wynlakes team since 2021. Jessie says what he enjoys most about working at Wynlakes is the people, noting that everyone brings great energy to the workplace. His favorite part of the job is being part of a team and a true team player, always willing to step in and support those around him. When he’s not at work, Jessie enjoys spending quality time with his family and playing video games. What motivates him to do his best each day is simple and powerful—his kids. Jessie believes Wynlakes is special because of its family-like work atmosphere, where coworkers support one another and work together as one team. A fun fact about Jessie: he loves to joke around and is known for his great sense of humor, always bringing smiles to those around him.

Next to the common cold, back pain is the most frequent complaint heard by doctors.
Massage kneads away tension in the muscles, as well as relieving discomfort in surrounding areas that are “guarding” in response to the pain. It increases circulation, allowing healing nutrients and oxygen into the tissue.
Don’t forget we have GIFT CARDS for birthdays and special occasions. Call Foad, today.

The Match Play Championship is a unique event that follows the rules for Match Play scoring. If a player completes a hole in fewer strokes or the hole is conceded, the player wins the Hole. If two players complete a hole in the same number of strokes the hole is halved. If a player leads the opponent by more holes than remain to be played, the match is over (Player is 3 up with 2 holes to play). If two players are tied through 18 holes, they will play extra holes until the winner is determined. Handicap strokes are allocated accordingly.
The 2026 Match Play Championship registration opens on March 1st. Who will claim the title in 2026? Can Rusty Daniel defend his title? The cost is only $30 and goes completely to the prize pool.

This month’s superviews is centered around the bridge project happening on holes 4 and 5. The project has gone extremely well and has had very little disruptions. The crew from York bridge has been moving at a pace of about 20ft per day. This includes driving piles, leveling the base beams, running the joist beams, and decking the top. Each pile is driven at least 6 ft into the bottom of the pond. I am very excited to see the finished product and have enjoyed working along side the crew from York bridge.
In other news we have completed our spring pre emerge application on the entire course. We are also still adding sand to bunkers. Spring is almost here and we will start preparing the course for spring green up. We will be top dressing
by Brad Barron
greens and doing several fertilizer and fungicide applications to the greens, tee and fairways. This will jump start us into spring and summer. Very excited for the golf season this year!
