FROM THE MANAGER

HAPPY JULY!

We kicked off June with one of the BEST Member/Guest weekends ever, along with a fantastic start to our summer camp season. Our summer camps give your children/ grandchildren an opportunity to learn about golf, tennis, fitness, and culinary. Last month they also learned to fish and bait a hook, plant tomato plants, paint, and watched K-9’s in action. A special thank you to our Wynlakes staff and the Montgomery County Extension Service (fishing), Froggy

WYNWEDDINGS

The 2026 edition of WynWeddings magazine has officially been released. This beautiful publication highlights our 2025 weddings, sharing each couple’s unique love story, how they met, and the special role Wynlakes has played in many of their journeys together. In this

magazine, beautiful pictures are shared as well as compliments on Wynlakes hospitality. Congratulations to Maddie Shavers, Event Coordinator, for her hard work and dedication in bringing this publication to life, and congratulations to all of the wonderful couples featured in this year’s issue. This has already been emailed to you, however, for a hard copy please call or visit the business office.

TENNIS PROJECT

Over the next two to three months, all tennis fencing and windscreens will be replaced, and both the hard courts and pickleball courts will be resurfaced. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue making enhancements that will improve the overall experience for our members.

STAFF RESOURCES

In my May ‘Wyndows’ article I mentioned providing life resources to our staff to help improve their overall quality of life. Our first class was Foundations in Finance and our next class, Foundations in Health, begins this month. This class will be presented by our very own Ryan Callicott, Director of Fitness. This is a practical, encouraging series designed to help our staff build strong habits, improve their health and create sustainable fitness routines for everyday life. During this 4-week class, Ryan will educate our staff on nutrition, homebase strength, condition & heart health and flexibility, mobility and injury prevention. For all employees that attend the entire series, they will receive a take-home wellness notebook including meal planning examples, nutrition guidance and at-home workout programs; monthly access to Inbody composition scans; and a home workout kit. This program is designed to support long-term health, energy and performance-both at work and at home. We appreciate Ryans commitment to educating our staff.

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH APRIL - BROOKE CALLICOTT

Congratulations to Brooke Callicott, our April Employee of the Month! Brooke has been a valued member of the Wynlakes team for three years. She says her favorite part of working at Wynlakes is being part of a supportive team and having the opportunity to learn and grow alongside our other professional trainers, Ryan and Clinton. As a fitness professional, Brooke enjoys helping clients stay accountable while staying accountable herself. Watching her clients reach their goals and knowing she played a role in their success is what motivates her most. Outside of work, Brooke enjoys working out and spending time with family and friends. She also appreciates the professional and employee-focused environment at Wynlakes, saying it makes coming to work enjoyable every day. Fun fact: Brooke says she can eat an entire pizza by herself! Congratulations, Brooke, and thank you for all you do for Wynlakes!

FITNESS TIP OF THE MONTH

Consistency Beats Motivation

Most people believe they need more motivation to reach their fitness goals. In reality, motivation comes and goes. The people who see the best results rely on consistency instead. A few workouts each week, regular movement, quality nutrition, and patience will outperform short bursts of motivation every time.

Focus on showing up. The results will follow.

Water Aerobics continues to be a popular summer offering. This low-impact class is perfect for improving fitness, building endurance, and staying active while being easy on the joints. All fitness levels are welcome.

Massage kneads away tension in the muscles, as well as relieving discomfort in surrounding areas that are “guarding” in response to the pain. It increases circulation, allowing healing nutrients and oxygen into the tissue.
