We are extremely grateful to have Zeke as part of the Wynlakes Golf & Country Club team. Thank you for your hard work, Zeke!

As we move into 2026, get ready for an exciting lineup of new activities as we celebrate our 40th Anniversary. All year long, we’ll be tapping into the spirit of “40” and the nostalgia of “1986” to make this milestone truly unforgettable as we celebrate four decades of Wynlakes Golf & Country Club!

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH SEPTEMBER - ALAYLA GRAY

Wynlakes is excited to recognize Alayla Grey as our September Employee of the Month! Alayla has been part of the Wynlakes Food & Beverage team for three years, and she continues to brighten every shift with her positive attitude and genuine love for the people around her. Alayla says the best part about working at Wynlakes is being surrounded by coworkers who feel like family. She loves the Club’s family-oriented atmosphere, describing it as the “neighborhood family house.” One of her favorite parts of the job is laughing with her coworkers and serving our members, especially watching children grow up—some she’s known since they were still in their mothers’ tummies!

Outside of work, Alayla enjoys working out, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She also loves to shop and spend money, which she proudly owns!

A fun fact about Alayla: she has served in the Alabama National Guard for six years as a Culinary Specialist, and she recently got to travel to Trinidad for training.

We’re grateful for everything Alayla brings to the Wynlakes family— congratulations!

CELEBRATING 40 YEARS OF STRENGTH, HEALTH & COMMUNITY – WYN 40: 40 DAYS TO A STRONGER YOU

Wynlakes turns 40 in 2026, and we’re celebrating the best way we know how, by getting stronger together.

We’re kicking off the new year with WYN 40, a 40-day training challenge built to help you reset, get consistent, and start the year with real momentum.

Each of our trainers: Ryan, Brooke, and Clinton will take on just five new clients for this special program.

You’ll train twice a week in a small group setting, get an InBody scan and goal session, and have the support and accountability that make all the difference.

The best part? It’s completely free for the first 15 members to sign up.

Once the 15 spots are filled, that’s it.

Program Details:

Start Date: January 5 • End Date: February 13 • Length: 40 days

Includes:

• Two semi-private sessions per week

• InBody scan + goal setting

• Nutrition and accountability support

• Coaching from the Wynlakes Fitness Team

This is your chance to kick off 2026 feeling stronger, healthier, and more consistent while helping us celebrate 40 years of Wynlakes.

Why 40 Days?

As Wynlakes celebrates 40 years, this challenge is about carrying that same sense of community and tradition into the new year.

WYN 40 is a 40 day program that will help you start 2026 with purpose: building good habits, feeling stronger, and getting back into a routine that sets the tone for the rest of the year. It’s a great way to refocus after the holidays and make the most of what the Fitness Center has to offer.

Meet Your Coaches

Ryan Callicott, Fitness Director

“Consistency beats motivation every time. Show up, and we’ll handle the rest.”

Brooke Callicott, Personal Trainer

“My favorite part of these programs are seeing people realize they’re stronger than they think.”

Clinton Adams, Personal Trainer

“Small-group training creates accountability, but it also makes it fun. You’ll push harder than you think and actually enjoy it.”

Ready to WYN 40?

Spots will go fast, and once we hit 15, registration closes. If you’ve been thinking about starting personal training, this is your sign to jump in. Stop by the Fitness Center to learn more or text:

BACK PAIN BODYWORK & MASSAGE THERAPY

Next to the common cold, back pain is the most frequent complaint heard by doctors.

Massage kneads away tension in the muscles, as well as relieving discomfort in surrounding areas that are “guarding” in response to the pain. It increases circulation, allowing healing nutrients and oxygen into the tissue.

Don’t forget we have GIFT CARDS for birthdays and special occasions. Call Foad, today.

SUPERVIEWS by Brad Barron

Happy holidays to all. This is a special time of year to enjoy friends and family and reflect on all the events from the year. We had an amazing year on the course, even though mother nature was not always helpful. I’m going to reflect on some of these events and future plans in this superviews.

The start of the year was full of cold weather and some snow. Not only did we receive 2.5 inches of snow but the farther south you went to more snow you got, very uncharacteristic. This led into a very wet beginning to the summer where we racked up 24 inches of rain in May and June alone. So of course, the next curve ball was a drought at the end of summer/start of fall. We went 7 weeks with no rainfall in September and

October. Thankfully, the end of fall and start to winter we have had some great weather. A little cool in the mornings but nice in the afternoon. Not too much rain so the playing areas have been nice and dry. On the course we have had a great season. Greens have performed great all year and are extremely healthy going into winter. This will set us up for a great spring green up next year. The fairways and tee complexes have been great as well. New changes in fertility and fungicide applications along with mowing patterns have really proven to work in these areas. We also removed 37 trees this summer. All of these trees were in areas that affected the quality of turf and playability. The removal of these trees has made all of these areas

better for us on the maintenance end and for the golfers playability. This winter we will be doing more tree work and also checking sand depths in bunkers and adding sand where needed.

I would like to say thank you to all of the membership and especially the golfing members. The amount of play on the course has been higher than the past several years along with much higher guest rounds. This shows me you want to play golf here and bring your friends to play also. I am so thankful for the support of our club and its members. Wynlakes is a special place for all of us. Happy Holidays and we are looking forward to an even better New Year! See you on the course.
