Alumni CONNECTION
Dear friends, It is my pleasure to welcome you to this year’s edition of the Alumni Connection Newsletter. As President of the Alumni Association Executive Committee, I am grateful for the privilege to serve the growing community of Wycliffe alumni. The Alumni Association Executive Committee exists to serve you, and to act as a connecting place where we can celebrate and share all that God is doing in our lives and ministries. We are truly a global community, serving Christ in many different ways and contexts.
Along with alumni news, this edition of the Alumni Connection gives you information about what has been happening around Wycliffe. It includes a greeting from new principal, Dr Kristen Deede Johnson, and an invitation from the Canadian Institute for Empirical Church Research at Wycliffe College. You will also meet the Reverend Dr Wesley Hill, the College’s newly appointed Professor of New Testament. May you be encouraged by what you read in these pages and may you continue to pray and encourage one another as alumni of the College! Throughout the year, you are remembered in prayer by the Wycliffe community, especially during Chapel. I also encourage you to pray for one another, that together we may bring the light of Christ to all places and peoples! Another way in which we connect is through this publication. In this newsletter you will find news about the annual alumni awards, updates on fellow members of the Alumni Association, information about the benefits of being an alumnus, a short list of upcoming events, and ways to connect and participate in the Alumni Association.
