Mission
Luther College positively endeavours to provide the best education possible in a Christian setting where the whole person can grow and develop with confidence and dignity. The College’s extensive programs offer all students opportunity for spiritual and moral growth, service and social involvement, excellence in academics, the arts and physical activities, to prepare them with confidence for their individual vocations and a Christian life.

We know that through education, and being focussed on preparing people for future opportunities, we are best prepared to lead tomorrow.
We invest in the formation of strong relationships, acknowledging that these are precursors for positive communities, safe learning and effective leading. We are committed to fostering a culture of care, collaboration and service, within our local and global community.
The Luther Learning Attributes of Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Ethical, Global and Sustainable Understandings and Self- management continue to be at the centre of our curriculum design, our learning opportunities and our assessments.
These, along with subject-specific knowledge and abilities, are the skills that our students need to be successful contributors beyond their time at Luther. We know at Luther that this is the learning that really matters, and we are committed to it and the changes that are required to achieve it.

The Luther College Class of 2021 collectively achieved outstanding results and can be proud of their accomplishments. We celebrate the abilities and dedication of each Year 12 student and congratulate them on completing their final year of secondary education and their successes. All members of the Class of 2021 completed the VCE, achieving a 100% pass rate.
An ATAR of 90 or above was achieved by over 20% of the 2021 cohort and almost half of the students received an ATAR above 80. There were two perfect study scores of 50 achieved by students in Psychology and Further Mathematics. All students who applied for tertiary education were successful in securing a position. Students entered a variety of university courses in areas such as: Medical and Health, Commerce, Science, Architecture, Engineering, Arts, Design and Education.
During their time at Luther College, the Year 12 students have actively and positively contributed to the community of the college in many areas. This has been though participation in various sports carnivals, performing arts festivals, school musicals, service programs, student leadership and other day-to-day school life activities.

Finances
Luther College is a not-for-profit organisation but follows contemporary commercial practices to manage its finances in an effective and efficient manner including, where achievable, generating an annual surplus from operating activities to invest in ongoing development and enhancement of the College, its facilities, buildings and educational programs. Such management is important to ensure a sustainable future for students and continue to provide the quality of education for which we continuously strive. Engagement
At Luther College we actively foster strong relationships with members of our College community; students, staff and families and part of enhancing this connection is regularly engaging with these key stakeholder groups to assist the College in evaluating its effectiveness in complying with its Values Statement and in making informed decisions for the College to support student learning.
We have a deep belief in, and commitment to, our students, knowing them as learners and as young people, setting expectations high and encouraging them to make the most of their God-given gifts and talents in service to others.
One of the most impactful ways to support student learning is through the provision of timely feedback. Students and Parents have indicated in satisfaction surveys that the provision of timely feedback is important for them to support effective learning.
As a College we are also committed to measuring our effectiveness in supporting student learning. To achieve this the College partners with professional organisations to build the capacity of our staff through targeted professional learning. Professional learning provides opportunities to collaborate and connect with peers, provide input and feedback on programs and enhance the skills needed to effectively support student learning across the College.
We keep our parents, students and staff informed through various means of communications, including the College’s learning management system, Omnia, as well as the College website and various digital communication tools.
