As the Associate Vice Chancellor, I have the opportunity to work with our amazing professional staff who are committed to upholding our mission in support of our students. The RCD is a central member of the Residential Life team RCDs can expect a commitment to professional development, inclusion and a student-centered approach A major part of the RCD role is to serve as an educator within their residential college through supervision of the Resident Advisor team and overseeing community development and programming.
RCDs have the opportunity to work with graduate fellows, faculty fellows in residence and/or faculty associates. They also play a vital role in supporting students in crisis, serving on our on-call rotation and participating in departmental and university committees.
