Newlands disaster model

The Newlands community has launched a two-year pilot to implement a locally designed “Coordinated Community and Disaster Resilience” model. Designed to demonstrate the
value of enhanced community connectedness as an essential foundation for resilience, it is also intended to provide a call to action to local and central government to support community-led initiatives such as this. Continued on page 2.
