OnMonday,February16,TeenHavenhostedtheir4thannualPrincessBrunch.Thirty-one girlsattendedalongsidetheirmom,aunt,orcoachforanimpactfulafternooncentered onbeingKNOWN,SEEN,andLOVED byGodandbyoneanother
Theeventincludedbrunch,separatesmall-groupteachingsessionsforwomenand youth,aswellascreativegamesandartactivitiesdesignedtofosterconnection.
Everydetail fromdécorandroomsetuptotheschedule, giveaways,andactivities wasthoughtfullyplannedtocreate awarm,welcomingenvironmentwhereeach“Princess”felt seen,knownandloved

PaulHawthorne:ALegacyofFaithfulService
Paulwasahumble,quiet,andsteadypresenceatWaterStreetMission.Hebeganhisjourneywith theMissionin1961,answeringphonesandtyping.Justayearlater,hesteppedintotheroleof bookkeeper—apositionheheldwithdiligenceandcarefordecades.Hismeticulousattentionto detailandunwaveringcommitmentcontinueduntilJanuary2025.That’sanincredible64years ofservice!Paul’stenurespansmorethanhalfthelifeoftheMission,whichwasfoundedin1905.
PaulwasafaithfulservantoftheLord.HecareddeeplyforothersandfortheMissionitself.Even whenhewasn’tfeelingwell,histhoughtsandfocusremainedonotherpeople.Inhisyounger years,Paullovedtheoutdoors,andhealsohadafondnessforoldradioshows.Weoftenheardhim laughingalongwiththoseprograms,sharinghisgreatsenseofhumor.Paulcarriedanextensive knowledgeofWaterStreet’shistory,whichhegenerouslysharedwiththosearoundhim.
InmemoryofPaulandhisextraordinarylegacy,theSieberHall BoardRoomwillberenamedtheHawthorneConferenceRoom.
