As We Head Toward a New Season, Let Us Pray... ...for those we serve

That they would experience the love of Jesus; that we could provide the practical help they need, and that they would be open to the Gospel truth as we have the opportunity to share.

...for the mission

That corporately we can fulfill our Mission: ‌In response to Christ’s Love, we join with His mission‌ to walk with our neighbors who are experiencing marginalization and poverty, trusting Him to‌ transform lives and restore hope. That we would embody our core values every day: ‌Dependence Upon God, Service to the Church,‌ Partnership with the Community, Authenticity in Relationships, and Grace as our Model.

“Join me in celebrating the behind-the-s During the last half of the fiscal year, our Finance team successfully migrated our 403(b) plan from Mutual of America to Fulton Financial, managed a financial audit and 403(b) audit, and held dozens of meetings to finalize the budget. Fun fact: since January 1, 2026, WSM has received and processed exactly 24,614 online and mail-in donations!

During the month of May, the IT departmen vendor) upgraded our virtual platform. B reached end-of-life, the Food Services served 9,199 meals to staff and guests in July alone! This number included our guests and staff during their normal service times PLUS all of the Teen Haven campers who were served at their own service time! The team also carefully prepared for the physical audit walkthrough by weighing food and coordinating meal plans to ensure accurate gift-in-kind accounting.

scenes, everyday work of the operations team!” No job is impossible for our Facilities team! From creating new offices in the Enrichment Center to changing more than 600 HVAC filters this year, cleaning 11,000 square feet of buildings weekly and scrubbing 50 toilets daily, they keep our buildings and campus in incredible shape! Their expertise enabled the city to accept WSM’s drawings and allowed the work to be completed in-house — saving money while minimizing disruptions to programs.

The Warehouse team delivered its best audit prep yet by carefully wrapping, categorizing, weighing, and inventorying pallets. To fully appreciate how colossal of a task this is, you need to know that this team is moving roughly 720,000 pounds of food donations per year from local partners. This doesn’t even include the almost 70,000 pounds of food donated during WSM’s annual Rescue Mission Food Drive!
