This show, mounted skillfully by William
Reaves Fine Art, represents the first one-man
exhibition of the artist’s works outside the Texas
Panhandle in over seventy years. Perhaps by
showing these works down-state and conveying
them within the context and spirit of Houston’s
great livestock show and rodeo, more Texans
can encounter the art of their greatest cowboy
artist, and gain a renewed appreciation of his
own distinctive brand of Texas art.
