Being a learner in all walks of life, I believe that the process is equally important as the outcome. The cultural centre is the focal point of the development with a concentrated blend of the rich history that Kiruna exhibits. It is also the centre from where further connections to the Naturum, the tourist camp as well as the nature trails are establised. The old mine towers are proposed to be used as viewing towers in the Naturum and forms an integral part of the proposed development. Various local centres are also proposed within each district so that each area has it’s own flavours.The new city centre and the proposed cultural centre connects these local centres so that the whole area has a continuous network. One major activity is the tourist sector, so keeping this in mind, a tourist camp is proposed within walking distance from the city centre since the current city does not have a dedicated tourist space. As it is beside the E10 highway, active tourism can be developed with other regions which can strengthen the economy and eventually shift the dependence of the city from mining. Research institutions in this area can also connect universities like Luleå which can increase and diversify the job sector. This can be a major factor to enable the youth to stay and work in Kiruna.
The detail plan and view show the design for the tourist camp areas set within nature. The dedicated space can offer the tourists with viewing of the northern lights in winter as well as a getaway to nature living in the forest during summer. Thus the activities can help to strengthen the local economy by generating direct and indirect jobs.

SITE ACTIVATORS
Daily life in China has always been a balanced mix of active and passive activities. Maintaining the traditional occupations of the people of the region mainly towards farming, this design aims to connect the young generation with their roots and eventually proposing a lifestyle combined with farming activities for a sustainable future. Diversification of the various interesting street activities and connecting them so as to visualize it as a complete urban realm with focus on urban agriculture. Searching the roots of the region to bring back the life, bridging the gap between old and new communities.

DETAIL PLAN 2- Farming Neighnourhoods
The design facilitates interaction zones between semi-private and public areas containing sections for community farming. The result is that of a hybrid mixed-use district within the heart of the city intended for a resilient urban growth. The sections show a continuation of farming activities both in the oublic and semi-private realm. For the agricultural sector, planning of plantation for a complete year through rotation is proposed so as to maintain the urban landscape as well as support the local economy. The introduction of a water canal plays a vital role for enjoying both active and passive edges as well as in agricultural activities.

LANDSCAPE DESIGN FOR A BACKYARD GARDEN Professional Project Design Firm- GardensForever Castleknock, Dublin, Ireland
Existing site conditions
Located in Castleknock, Dublin, this residential backyard renovation project has been an interesting one due to its contrast with slope and level difference (6.7 m from FFL). As the area is quite old, many factors prevented adequate maintenance. The owner wished for a seating area at the top level which is a great view-point overlooking the neighbourhood. The proposed design respects the slope of the site providing a gradual board-walk from the floor level to the top with an intermediate seating area.

Planting Proposal The planting is proposed keeping in mind the stark difference in slope so capability of the roots to retain the soil is required at certain sections. The hedges along the side walls act as a good anchoring as well as landscape element thus giving a directional viewpoint for the linear site. Bay laurel

A special project in terms of concept since the owner requested for a sensory garden for her husband who suffers from dementia. A sensory garden can mean different things to different people. In this context it is the need for an outdoor space with landscape features to stimulate the memory while experiencing the elements of nature. The garden is divided into different sectors in order to stimulate the senses of sight, smell, touch and hearing and maximise the impact sequentially. Different natural elements as well as plants are used for touch and sound along with specific plant species for fragrance.

The Next Generation school is a popular group in SA known for their attractive teaching environment. The interior project entails the design for a new and revolutionary experience for students within the classrooms and outside of it. The mood board and materials were selected keeping in mind the love for different regular forms among children which could be more attractive with colorful panels and lighting. Each space is thus different from the other with separate experiential design for both girls and boys.

TALLY EXPERIENCE ZONE Professional Project India Spring 2018

Tally is a popular accounting and finance software and launch their products regularly in different countries. This project was for a similar launch program at Mumbai in India for which the company required an attractive kiosk design. The main idea was to showcase an experience zone where customers could check the upgraded product of Tally 18 and discuss purchasing and subscription possibilities. The mood board was chosen according to its logo as well as to provide for a digitized and attractive environment within the area.

Located in the metropolis of Kolkata, the requirement for the project was to conceive the values of the Rites organization which is the engineering and construction hub for the Indian Railways. The idea was to conceive a form that will be viewable from the nodal point as well as approach roads since this is a landmark site. The 2 towers were formed keeping in mind client’s requirement of leasing one tower for commercial and business use while maintaining corporate function for their own. Hence, to have efficient management & control yet having minimum circulation space was the main objective of this design. As part of the project team, my responsibilities were to develop the conceptual designs for a competition for which we were eventually awarded the 2nd position.
