With the implementation of House File 2412 in Iowa, which requires radon testing and mitigation in public schools, all attendance centers must be tested at least once by July 1, 2027, and retested every five years thereafter.
Testing is recommended to be completed during normal occupied use of the buildings. It will take place in all occupied, ground-contact rooms, such as classrooms and offices. If your buildings are more than one story, additional testing will occur in 10% of the upper-level occupied rooms per floor.
