YOUR TOWN SEMINOLE ATTIRE NOW ON DISPLAY The Winter Garden Heritage Foundation has opened a new exhibition and will host a special reception at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17. “Seminole Attire: History and Culture Through Design” will be on display through Dec. 31 and features a history of the Seminole people plus handcrafted outfit and doll figures from a private collection. Special guests at the reception will include members of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Refreshments will be served. The Winter Garden Heritage Museum is at 1 N. Main St., Winter Garden. West Orange High School will host its annual Homecoming Parade and transform downtown Winter Garden into a sea of blue and orange. The parade will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, in downtown Winter Garden. Staging begins at 4:30 p.m.

The Rotary Club of Winter Garden is hosting its 16th annual Texas Hold’Em charity poker tournament Friday, Oct. 25, at Tanner Hall, 29 W. Garden Ave., Winter Garden Registration begins at 6 p.m., and cards fly at 7. The cost is a $75 donation with preregistration and $85 at the door — and this includes pizza, salad and two drinks.
