The Garden Theatre in downtown Winter Garden is hosting a World Premiere Weekend featuring “Billy Flanigan: The Happiest Man on Earth” documentary — ahead of the official release Oct. 7. There will be two showings this weekend. On Saturday, Oct. 1, the VIP red carpet is rolled out at 7 p.m., the film begins at 8, and a talkback is scheduled for 9:30. On Sunday, Oct. 2, the event begins at 3 p.m. Tickets are available at gardentheatre.org. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to benefit JDRF. The theater is at 160 W. Plant St., Winter Garden. A Walt Disney World performer since 1982, Flanigan embarked on a 7,000-mile bike ride across the country delivering live musical performances during the pandemic.
