To celebrate its 17th birthday, the Winter Garden Farmers Market is hosting a Birthday Party on the Lawn. The event will feature free birthday activities including kids’ games, music with DJ Renee, face painting, snow cones and kids’ crafts. Birthday festivities will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 7, on the lawn area adjacent to the downtown pavilion, 104 S. Lakeview Ave., Winter Garden. The birthday activities will be in conjunction with the market, which is 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

COMIC BOOK SHOW COMING TO W.G.
The Galactic Comics and Toy Show is coming to Winter Garden this weekend. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at The Crossings Church, 13105 W. Colonial Drive, Winter Garden. Special guests will be writer and Full Sail University professor Roland Mann and comic book artists Thomas Florimonte Jr. and Jeff Whiting.
