Robinsons Supermarket donates to World Vision at the 17th Fit & Fun Wellness Buddy Run

Robinsons Supermarket once again championed health and generosity during the 17th Fit & Fun Wellness Buddy Run held at Bridgetowne Destination Estate last July 6, 2025. The event gathered thousands of fitness enthusiasts, families, and corporate partners for a morning of fun runs, wellness activities, and community celebration.

This year, World Vision was chosen as one of the event’s beneficiaries, reinforcing Robinsons Supermarket’s commitment to making a positive impact beyond health and wellness. The partnership

highlights a shared goal to support the most vulnerable children and communities through community development programs.

Representing World Vision were National Director Dr. Harvey Carpio, Resource Development Director Jun Godornes, Celebrity Ambassador Ayn Bernos, and Youth Ambassador Zachi Chua.

Manulife employees volunteer for waste management activities in Quezon City

Employees of financial service provider Manulife Data Services, Inc. volunteered to engage with a partner community in Quezon City to spend their weekend learning new ways of waste management.

Around 200 Manulife employees went to Barangay Bagong Silangan on August 16, and took part in activities such as a clean-up drive, planting of vegetables such as kangkong and okra, and some even learned how to make picture frames out of recycled materials such as old books and magazines.

The activity is part of the PHINLA global program of World Vision, in collaboration with the EcoWaste Coalition and funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Global Development (BMZ). PHINLA, which stands for Philippines, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka—the participating countries of the implementing program—aims to improve the solid waste management systems of communities and to improve the lives of urban community members.

Coca-Cola Foundation’s Project W.I.S.E. wraps up with a meaningful closing ceremony in Kidapawan City

Participants shared stories of transformation, discussed the challenges they encountered, and explored ways to sustain and scale the initiative. The ceremony served not only as a celebration of achievements but also as a call to action to continue working toward cleaner, greener communities.

On September 9, Project W.I.S.E.—a school and communityled waste management initiative by Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines—celebrated its milestone closing ceremony in Kidapawan City.

The event was graced by Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines President, Ms. Cecile Alcantara, alongside community members, local stakeholders, and project partners. A workshop was also conducted to reflect on the project’s impact, highlighting how it empowered schools and communities to adopt more sustainable waste practices.

Bank of America volunteers participate in a natural farming system training

Bank of America employees were introduced to natural farming methods that emphasize soil health, organic inputs, and environmentally responsible techniques last September 6. The training aimed to equip attendees with practical knowledge and skills to support local food production while reducing reliance on chemical inputs.

As part of the activity, the participants also took part in planting activity. The combined training and planting activity highlighted the value of sustainable practices in building resilient and eco-conscious communities.

Citi volunteers join tee planting activity in Antipolo

Citi employees participated in an employee engagement activity through a tree planting initiative held on September 11 in Antipolo, Rizal. The activity aimed to promote environmental sustainability and contribute to the reforestation efforts in the area.

The event brought together Citi volunteers and community members in a shared commitment to environmental stewardship. Through this initiative, participants helped restore green spaces while fostering a deeper connection with nature and the local community.
