TELUS and World Vision donate books to a far-flung school in Bukidnon

TELUS Digital Philippines, a leader in AIpowered customer experience and business process, and World Vision, a child-focused organization, recently visited a remote school in Bukidnon to provide teachers and students books that would aid in their study and learning.

Speaking at the event, Geomel Jetonzo, World Vision Education Technical Program Manager and Brigada Pagbasa Program Director,

expressed the organization’s commitment to providing quality and equal education to all students, regardless of location.

“We hope that these modules that our partner, TELUS Digital, gave us would help support the learning journey of both the teachers and students in this school,” Jetonzo said.

Brigada Pagbasa is World Vision’s program to bridge literacy gaps in schools. The donated reference materials were transported from Manila and transported for nearly two hours to reach a small far-flung school, where students are mostly IP or Indigenous Peoples.

TELUS Digital Philippines has donated over 10,000 reference materials to various schools in World Vision’s communities in Bukidnon, Sultan Kudarat, North Cotabato, and Misamis Occidental.

The identified schools used to struggle with a shortage of resources, relying on outdated materials and limited access to educational tools.

Parents, teachers, and students also expressed gratitude for the support.

Corporate partners celebrate Christmas with the children

Christmas got merrier as corporate partners give World Vision-assisted children more joy. The series of celebration were filled with fun, games, and fellowship. The events not only brightened the children’s day, but also strengthened the bond between the corporate partners and the community.

It was overall a heartwarming reminder of the impact we can make when we come together to spread love and cheer during the holiday season.
