Letter from our Director When people think of our Disaster Response Services program, they often think of volunteers repairing homes. These repairs involve drywall, lumber, hammers, and saws. We have an amazing team that over the years has used these repair skills to help thousands of families recover from disaster. But as we’ve recently connected with communities in the earlier stages of disaster recovery, we’ve discovered that DRS volunteers and staff also have the ability to build confidence while building capacity in emerging partners. Read inside about our recent work building the capacity of partners in Texas and in the Southeast United States. We are thankful God has blessed DRS with opportunities to accomplish more, together.
