Letter from our Director People flourishing is an important value to us at World Renew. Disaster survivors flourish when families can move back into their safe and secure homes repaired by volunteers. A homeowner in Sarasota, Florida exclaimed, “World Renew renewed my world” after moving home more than a year after Hurricane Ian. Sometimes, flourishing involves going beyond prior housing situations. In Mayfield, Kentucky, DRS is working with an organization that empowers previous renters who survived a tornado to become homeowners. We are also passionate about DRS volunteers flourishing. DRS staff provide quality experiences for volunteers to make a real difference in the lives of hurting people. It’s even more exciting when volunteers invite their community to join this experience with them! We want to help you flourish by volunteering with World Renew Disaster Response Services, and we encourage you to invite others to volunteer with you! Together, we can share the love of Christ by reconciling lives to truly flourish.
