COMING SOON... PRTC will soon be launching the latest in smart home technology. Security and Home Automation that provides you the ability to control your home no matter where you are via a computer or smart mobile device. With our new system, Qolsys, uniquely named from the term “Quality of Life”, you no longer have to worry if you forgot to turn on a light or appliance, as it allows you to power them remotely. You can even set your thermostat and lock your doors while away. Soon PRTC Security will provide you with the security, convenience, and energy management you need.
CHECKPOINT... The year 2019 started off with a bang with the launch of our PRTC Fiber Checkpoint website. Now, not only can residential and business customers sign up for service online but we are able to measure interest in fiber services from surrounding communities that we do not currently serve. Next time someone asks you about our products and services, tell them to log on to PRTCfiber.us.

PRTC Channel 57 is proud to announce the relaunch of Cooking with PRTC! This series will feature a rotating line-up of guest chefs preparing everything from handmade buttermilk biscuits to easy weeknight Liz Nettles meals. All footage will be recorded Guest Chef from our brand new kitchen set at Channel 57 Studios on Robertson Boulevard. The set design features decor from our very own South Lashawn Williams Carolina Artisans Center. Stay tuned Guest Chef for new show announcements on social media and see renowned lowcountry chefs and local celebrities work their magic.

In February, PRTC was presented the Above and Beyond Award by the SC ESGR. This award recognizes employers at the local level who have gone above and beyond the legal requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act by providing their Guard and Reserve employees additional, non-mandated benefits such as differential or full pay to offset lost wages, extended health benefits, and other similar benefits.Tony Douglas, Installation and Repair Supervisor, was presented the Patriot Award, as a direct supervisor of Chuck Clementson, an employee serving in the National Guard or Reserve. Chuck is a PRTC Installation and Repair Tech, as well as a Tech Sergeant in the Air Force reserves. He performs maintenance on the C-17s at Charleston Air Force Base.
