Our parks are shared spaces designed for relaxation, play, and connection. Whether you’re visiting the playground, walking your dog, or enjoying time with family and friends, a little courtesy goes a long way. TheDistrictmaintains approximately13milesofparks, trails,andopenspace,providing residentswithyear-round opportunitiesforwalking, jogging,biking,andoutdoor recreation.
Ourtrailsystemconnects neighborhoods,parks,and recreationfacilitieswhile preservingnaturalopenspace throughoutthecommunity. Trailsaremaintainedbythe Districttopromotesafety, accessibility,andanenjoyable outdoorexperienceforusersof allages.
TrailUse Guidelines
Trailsareintendedfor non-motorizedrecreationaluse, includingwalking,jogging, biking,andleasheddogs.
• Class 1 and Class 2 electric bicycles (e-bikes) are permitted on District trails.
• Class 3 e-bikes are not permitted.
• Motorized vehicles of any kind are prohibited on ANY AND ALL District parks, trails, and open space areas, except for authorized maintenance, emergency, or District vehicles.
Users are encouraged to follow posted trail rules and etiquette, yield to pedestrians, stay on designated paths, and help care for the trail system by reporting maintenance concerns to the District.

Youth ages 10–14 must complete a Weight Room Safety Course before using the weight room/cardio rooms.
Please note this requirement is only for Recreation Center East, as we do not allow anyone under the age of 15 in our 24/7 gym. Check out the fyer below for more details!
Our aquatics staf are proudly certifed through the American Red Cross, meeting nationally recognized standards for lifeguarding, CPR, and frst aid.

WHMD is one of the area’s few providers of water and wastewater utilities. We service both residential and commercial customers in the district and commercial customers in surrounding communities.
Woodmen Hills keeps its rates and fees highly competitive. Decades of wise financial stewardship allows the district to offer its residents much more for much less.
Water Utilities
Drinking water is always and everywhere a precious commodity, but especially in the semi-arid West. At Woodmen Hills Metropolitan District, we take great pride in supplying both our own residents and customers in surrounding communities with clean, potable water. We meet or exceed all state and federal standards. Water operators are confident in the quality of our product, and you can be confident too.
