Brand New Book Release: Crisis Made My Brand
Kubi Springer
Best-Selling Author, Entrepreneur and Authority in Female Branding A woman of excellence, a single mum of 1, and a woman of faith. Kubi Springer is a globally recognised powerhouse with tenacity, grit and an undeniable business acumen We got the pleasure to connect with Kubi recently and find out more about her brand new book release 'Crisis Made My Brand'. Second-time author, TV show host Kubi Springer is a brand expert with over 25 years of experience. Kubi has worked with the likes of Microsoft, Barclays, Facebook, TikTok, Deloitte, and celebrities like P. Diddy, Justin Timberlake and more.
In 2019, Kubi released her first book 'I am my Brand' through Bloomsbury Publishing, and it was nominated for the 2019 Books Awards in the 'Best Marketing Book of the Year' category, which is an amazing achievement for a first-time author. I am my Brand has sold over 10,000 books worldwide and it has received rave reviews. The contents of the book navigate the reader through the world of personal branding, and it contains key lessons and actionable tips. It’s more than a book – it is a masterclass, and one that readers can refer back to time and time again. Never one to stop, Kubi has just released another book called Crisis Made My Brand, which she has published through her company, SheBuildsBrands LTD. People often view the crisis as a bad thing. As something that can break your business. It can crush and demotivate business owners, and make them feel like giving up. In the gripping book, Kubi demonstrates how crisis can be a turning point.
Crisis made my Brand draws on Kubi’s experience as a business owner, who has ridden the waves of success, and navigated challenges. It’s real, it’s raw, it’s gripping and it contains many anecdotes of where crisis has hit in a big way, and it was turned around for good. As a leader, Kubi never shy’s away from calling things out. If she makes a mistake, she owns it, and she encourages the readers to take ownership and responsibility too, so that the situation can be rectified. The reality is, crisis is something that hits us all. As well as anecdotes, the book uses psychology and scripture to back points up. Biblical references in a business book you might ask? Yes. Kubi has always been bold about her faith, and lessons and principles are just that. If you take them for what they are and apply them, you can learn from them. The use of scriptures is not presented in a preachy way, but more an encouragement. The psychological element taps in to the core of how we are wired, and why we respond to things the way that we do. In addition to the content, the book has practical exercises throughout that readers can use to map out their
Similar to I am My Brand, Crisis Made My Brand is a life course, with one reader saying:
“I could not put it down. You are an amazing storyteller, and you combine, business and psychology, and how the brain works. I spent the whole day reading it and it’s life-changing.”

A brand new business show, with a twist! We use pop-culture to unpack business and branding, helping women to level up… without apology! Watch live every Thursday at 9pm on YouTube and IG Live or watch it on replay on KubiSpringer.com
Crising Made My Brand And this is why Kubi does what she does. It’s not about ego, it’s about changing lives. By building better businesses, we are transforming communities. We are enabling a single mother to spend more time with her children. The economy is at the bedrock of every society. By solidifying that, we can change generations. A bold claim? Maybe, but Kubi is bold, transparent, and determined. She has seen the impact that building a robust business has had on her life, and the fact that she has been able to spend more time with her daughter Angel, and she desperately wants the same for others.

Spend - Save - Invest Monthly Women Guide to Money - How to be wiser with your financial choices
BY RAIMONDA JANKUNAITE
Money Talks By Raimonda Jankunaite
Money is an important topic and one that often gets overlooked by women. Somehow we feel like money is not a subject we should discuss but at the Women Thrive magazine, we encourage our readers to look at their relationship with money more closely. So we have introduced ‘Spend, Save, Invest’ idea where every month we will cover ideas and write about topics relating to one of these subjects. This month we are talking about spending - we all have our own spending habits and how we like to spend and reward ourselves. It has been quite a year so this month you may want to treat yourself and your loved ones to some beautiful or meaningful presents. I personally love practical gifts as well as gifts that would have meaning, so I could associate those items to a specific reward. Let’s say I have hit my financial goal for the year or a month, I would usually reward myself with a nice holiday break or spa weekend this would give me a sense of reward and relaxation. I love to travel and that not only gives us rest but also takes us to a new environment where we can have more creative ideas and come back refreshed. If travel isn’t quite possible right now where you are right now - how about treating yourself to something that you may have had on your Vision board, this may be a new watch, a handbag or those Jimmy Choo shoes you always dreamed of. These special timeless buys will forever remind you of your successful end to 2022.

Career is a marathon where you will need to pivot and be open to change, keeping your personal growth in mind. The best way to create a dynamic career is to know that you are your own boss – think, act and create an impact like an entrepreneur. You are your biggest asset and your talents and skills are your currency. In the world of multiple opportunities, self-belief and self-confidence go hand in hand with overwhelm and self-doubt. Especially when you are starting out as an entrepreneur or have had to adapt to virtual working, or a hybrid career – showing up for yourself can seem incredibly challenging.
Here are a few first steps to get you started on how to create your own spotlight, especially as a female business owner and leader: 1. Prime your social media channels: Yes, you got it right! As an entrepreneur and business leader, make sure that your social media channels truly reflect your personal brand, story and your business. Make an inventory of all the social media channels you own and engage in (make a full list) and trim it to the top three, that truly resonate with you. Some of us are great with Instagram, some prefer a blog, yet some crush it on LinkedIn and YouTube. Find your engagement niche and create your content and updates accordingly. Know which social media platform to use for specific business purposes. LinkedIn is great for professional network building, while Instagram and YouTube are perfect for content sharing and direct community engagement. The way to build your social visibility in a digital world is to make the best use of your social media.
2. Prep and Practice: Whether your business model is completely digital or hybrid – it is important HOW you show up to engage and connect with your community and customers. Your vibes POSTMODERN are real and people will always feel your PAINTING. Stella alternately paints in energy, even behind a laptop screen. oil and watercolor Prep and prepare whole-heartedly! As they say, the more you do, the better you get. Be it virtual meetings or Zoom presentations – make sure that you are thoroughly groomed and feel your best. When you feel confident, your energy is truly magnetic. By prepping up and investing your time, you activate feel-good neurons in your brain that make you feel truly invested in yourself. And it will show in your voice, your energy and your enthusiasm really quickly! Never underestimate the power of showing up, as you mean it – be it in person or on a virtual screen. WOMEN THRIVE CONTRIBUTOR
3. Engage, consistently: The best way to establish your authority is to be present and truly engage with your audience. If you plan to leverage social media and the digital world to further your career and business offline, stay committed to creating engagement with your community and clients – CONSISTENTLY. Share your story, your vision, your knowledge and the right audience will find you. While it is heartening to see the number of followers on social media, the first step is to make sure that your community and clients (both current and prospective) truly feel seen and heard. It is not always easy, so make sure that you have a mixture of content that is educational and entertaining! Try to keep two to three specific topics in your content list, so that your community and clients know what they are signing up for. Keep at it and be assured, the right people will take notice. As your engagement starts to take root, your self-confidence will start to thrive! "Showing up for yourself is never a once-done-and-then-forget-it act. It requires focus and will-power to push through inertia and keep going. The best way is to celebrate your wins when you manage a breakthrough and take small steps forward when the going gets tough. Own your story fully – the wins and the lessons are yours to take. When you decide to own your personal narrative with full accountability, you can lead with power. The spotlight is yours to shine on! " WOMEN THRIVE CONTRIBUTOR
Do you have a love-hate relationship with social media? We all know it is the most useful FREE marketing tool but over and over again I see so many people struggle with social media. From knowing what to post, to how to navigate algorithms, how to make graphics that stand out and all the other things in between. I have many conversations with women who struggle with making the most out of social media, therefore, missing out on attracting their ideal clients, elevating their brand and growing their authority. As one of our members, social media expert Susan Lane from SMC Ventures says - look at social media like a dinner party - social media is for being social and having fun. She says - "If I invite you to my dinner party and I don’t talk to you - will you come back?" The truth is - probably not, so the same goes for social media, your followers want to be valued No matter what others may say - you can have fun with social media, not take it to seriously and still get great results. Yes we all run businesses - but we are also human and people relate to people and their human side.
