Advancing Workforce Excellence on the Water

When I look back on 2025, what stands out most is not a single program or event, but the steady, behind-the-scenes work it takes to support careers on the water.
Women Offshore focused on delivering the core work our community relies on: career guidance, training support, mentorship, and leadership development. We made intentional choices about where to invest our time and resources, strengthened the quality of our programs, and continued to show up for mariners navigating an industry that is constantly evolving.
You’ll see that reflected throughout this report. It highlights the people we supported, the programs we delivered, and the care taken to steward resources responsibly in a dynamic environment. While not every year brings expansion or headline growth, 2025 reinforced the importance of consistency, accountability, and long-term commitment to the workforce we serve.
I am deeply grateful to everyone who makes this work possible. Your support helps ensure our community has access to the guidance, resources, and connections they need to build lasting careers on the water.
Thank you for being part of this effort and for believing in the value of investing in people.
Best Wishes,

Ally Tenorio

The Women Offshore Mentorship Program won Mentorloop’s Most Impactful Mentoring Program in 2025 We connect mariners with experienced professionals who provide guidance, perspective, and support as they navigate career decisions and professional growth on the water.
In 2025, Women Offshore intentionally refined the Mentorship Program to prioritize depth and consistency. While this resulted in fewer active matches, participants received more structured engagement and increased support throughout the mentorship cycle

MQS (Mentorship Quality Score) is a Mentorloop metric used to assess the quality of mentor-mentee relationships Both mentors and mentees complete regular surveys to share feedback on their experience, allowing us to evaluate how well pairings are working and ensure meaningful, productive connections

Our Ambassador Program is where mariners across vessels and oceans extend that support by sharing insights on social media, contributing blog posts, and joining the podcast to talk through lessons learned.

"It's good to read stories of the other few women in same industry. It inspires me to want to continue to learn and grow in my career offshore. It brings me happiness being able to see and hear the stories of other women who work on ships and see their journey around the world and how they got there."

Corporate members invest in scholarships, mentorship, and career development programs that advance workforce readiness and longterm career success.

In 2025, 64% of our expenses went directly to programs. That includes scholarships, the mentorship program, and the conference Administrative costs accounted for 22%, and 14% supported fundraising efforts that allow those programs to continue
When revenue came in slower than expected early in the year, we scaled back non-essential spending and prioritized direct member support. The Board reviewed the budget regularly and made adjustments in real time. The result: we protected scholarships and mentorship while keeping the organization financially steady

I’m excited to share our priorities for the coming year. Our focus is on strengthening connection, expanding our reach, and continuing to support mariners at every stage of their careers.
We’ll keep investing in mentorship, the Ambassador Program, educational webinars, and in‐person events to foster meaningful connection and professional growth. We’re also increasing our visibility through targeted social media efforts around key programs and events so more maritime professionals can discover the resources available through Women Offshore
We’re transitioning to a more community‐centered membership structure, creating clearer pathways for engagement and collaboration across our network. At the same time, we’re beginning updates to our website to make it more accessible, intuitive, and useful as a trusted resource for education, safety guidance, industry insights, and timely updates
Together, these efforts reflect our commitment to empowering careers and strengthening the maritime industry. Thank you for being part of this community and for everything you contribute.
