WNS Sports Updates
This winter season was one to remember for our middle school athletic program! Our student-athletes demonstrated tremendous dedication, teamwork, and school spirit throughout the season. This year’s winter teams included: Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer, A Boys Basketball, A Girls Basketball, Boys B Gold & Blue Basketball, Boys C Basketball. We are proud to share that two soccer teams and five basketball teams advanced to the playoffs, an incredible accomplishment that reflects the hard work of our players and coaches. Special congratulations to Boys B Blue team for reaching the final round of the playoffs, and to our A Boys team for their exciting championship victory against Windward School. What a way to close out the season!
This winter, we were thrilled to introduce our Dance Team to the athletics program! The team performed at multiple basketball games and brought incredible energy and spirit to our campus community. They will be competing at the FIYA Competition on March 21 at 10am— we wish them the best of luck as they represent our school. Thank you to our studentathletes, coaches, and families for an amazing winter season. Your commitment and enthusiasm continue to elevate our athletics program!
g g, performing, and managing every aspect of the production. Terminal 26 is an original vignette play featuring mini plays inspired by what interests them most. Framed around an airport departure, the show celebrates their takeoff into what’s next. The 8th grade show is a tradition going on its 13th year in which students create, design, and produce their exciting culminating project in theatre arts. We could not be more proud of the hard work, collaboration, and commitment these students carried throughout the process. Watching them support one another, rise to the challenge, and bring such an ambitious project to life has been truly inspiring, a remarkable accomplishment and a beautiful d ff th f th i next chapter.
Buddies - 2/25
In February, we spent special time with our mini-Jets throughout the school. The Middle School students enjoyed time in the Lower School classrooms, connecting with their younger partners through special buddy activities and a whole heap of laughter. The time with buddies always feels like a warm, welcoming pause to the daily duties and reminds the older students that they are almost always being watched or admired around campus.
Math Team Competition -
2/27
Our math team recently competed in an exciting event at Northrop Grumman, where 13 schools and 150 mathletes participated. Our students gave their all through three challenging rounds: individual, target, and team.
Mira Tanir, 8th grader, earned the highest individual score, advancing to the fast-paced Countdown Round where one student from each school competed head to head. She won her first matchup and was the fourth contestant remaining. It was incredible to watch her compete and succeed.
We are incredibly proud of the entire team for their hard work and dedication.

History Month and also tested our problem-solving in some unique ways.
It is always a fun time and always over too soon. The students come away with more moments to remind them of how connected we are as a school and a community that looks out for one another.
