I officially announce my candidacy for the Board of Directors supporting Westlake Village Homeowners Association. I have lived in the Rockford/Winnebago area all my life. Professionally, I landed with ThermoFisher Scientific, which I am currently at 28+ incredibly rewarding years. My current position is Senior Manufacturing Specialist - Clean Room Operations with an emphasis on Environmental Monitoring and Micro-biological analysis associated with Bio-pharmaceutical production. I also oversee an extensive departmental budget which involves varying degrees of procurement responsibilities.
I have over 29 years of community involvement experience associated with numerous major special events in the Rockford area ranging from operations management to various advisory positions. I moved to Westlake Village in 2004 during the height of development. Shortly after moving to Westlake, I was appointed to our Westlake Village Homeowners Association Advisory Board. During my tenure in this position, I oversaw and participated in many infrastructure developments and beautification improvements, on both the recreational and operational side.
As we continue growth, a clear focus on sustaining consistency, building our financial reserves, maintaining and updating our aging infrastructure, lake development and continuing to keep our common areas fresh will be an important element to what draws future homeowners to Westlake Village.
I look forward to representing all the residents of Westlake Village and in conjunction with the WLV Board of directors… supporting and updating our governing documents that uphold the continuity, security, and integrity of our community. I am very proud and honored to be a resident of this fantastic and beautiful development that we call home. I look forward to sharing the relaxing, recreational, and wonderful lifestyle that Westlake Village has to offer with the many friends, neighbors, and future families for many years to come.

Hello, my name is Dani Saboe. My husband and I moved to this wonderful community almost two years ago. We recently made the decision to live here time, and we are truly enjoying every moment. It was the beauty of the community and the lake that initially drew us to this location.
We are blessed with seven grown children and three grandchildren. My husband is retired and loves spending time fishing from our boat. I work in the software industry and have been with the same employer for over 20 years. Before my career in software, I was a doula and studied midwifery.
Throughout the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving on various nonprofit boards, HOA committees, and engaging in fundraising efforts for causes that are close to my heart. I enjoy working collaboratively, continuously learning, and connecting with others. I love engaging in meaningful conversations, especially on topics that I’m passionate about, and I am deeply committed to my community.
I’m excited to become more involved with my neighbors and to build new friendships. Currently, I am working on starting a weekly paddleboard and kayak group as a way to foster more connections and enjoy the outdoors together.
I believe that volunteering is one of the most impactful ways we can support our communities, friends, and families. Even if I am not chosen for a specific role, I am always eager to contribute and help where I can.

We have the best free concerts in Ogle County and the Friday night Mt. Morris Jamboree concerts are why. Regional and national musicians bring a variety of styles like folk, rockabilly, country, classic rock and tribute bands to the campus during the summer. There are some permanent benches and lots of green space for lawn chairs. Arrive early to get a good spot and sample the food scene, visit the art gallery on campus, or shop the sidewalk vendors. The concerts are free, although donations are welcome.

There’s no funeral, no formal goodbye, no closure. Just an empty bed and thousands of memories you weren’t ready to stop making. People who’ve never loved an animal like family, will never get it - and that’s fine. But for the rest of us? We know that losing a pet feels like losing a part of our soul, a soul, that had fur and four legs and looked at us like we were their whole world… because we were. Our hearts go out to those who’ve lost their pets recently.
