WKU Football gets trounced against Nevada, surrendering season-opener 49-14

Jackson’s Orchard falls into busy season
Jackson’s Orchard hosts the Apple Festival during Labor Day weekend on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026. Jackson’s Orchard is a popular destination just outside Bowling Green for apple picking. Visitors participate in different activities, purchase produce and pick their own apples. (Megan Geisler)
The people of Bowling Green gathered at Jackson’s Orchard over Labor Day weekend to experience a fall kickoff festival and the start of their apple season. Jackson’s Orchard held its annual Apple Festival this weekend, celebrating not only the start of the fall season but, for Jackson’s, the start of its busiest season. Read more by Josh Baumgardener
VISUALS: Recovery in Unity Block Party brings Community and Healing
John Nichols is the founder of Clean Line Tattoos. Nichols founded the tattoo shop in 2020. He has been a recovered addict for over 25 years. He centers Clean Line Tattoos around being Kentucky’s first tattoo shop rooted in addiction recovery. “If I had the chance to change anything, I wouldn’t change anything,” said Nichols.

Alpha Psi Omega’s Plays in a Day brings theater and
students together

At Alpha Psi Omega’s Plays in a Day, students spent a day building shows from the ground up, trading long rehearsal schedules for a quick burst of creativity. The festival brought students together to write, rehearse and perform short plays in 24 hours, and APO leaders said this year’s shows were all built around a family theme that helped guide the stories and give the event a shared focus.
