WKU hosts investigative journalists of ‘American Shrapnel’

WKU Journalism Professor and award-winning journalist Becca Andrews brought in two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist John Archibald to discuss the creation of their investigative podcast “American Shrapnel.”

The discussion between Andrews, Archibald, and the audience took place Thursday in Jody Richards Hall Auditorium. WKU History Professor Katherine Lennard facilitated the conversation

Kentucky Museum to celebrate new musical exhibit

The Kentucky Museum will host a day-long music festival that will end in a live concert with free admission on Saturday.

The Kentucky Museum on WKU’s campus will be hosting a special event in celebration of the grand opening of a new exhibit. The exhibit is titled "Sonic Landscape: The Musical Legacy of Southcentral Kentucky."

WKU Soccer falls to UAB

WKU Soccer dropped a road game to UAB 1-0 Thursday night.

After scoring their lone goal in the 39th minute, UAB held off WKU to earn the shutout win.

Coming off a dominant victory against the Bulldogs, WKU had all its mojo restored heading into its game against UAB. The Hilltoppers stood 2-1-1 versus the Blazers and 5-4-1 all-time.

‘The biggest challenge all year’: WKU Football heads to Toledo

WKU Football heads away from home for the first time this season as the team takes on Toledo Saturday.

Quarterback Maverick McIvor continued his strong start to the season, throwing for 305 yards and five touchdowns in a win over North Alabama. Through two games, McIvor has thrown for 706 yards and eight touchdowns without throwing an interception.

WKU Volleyball heads to the Marquette Invitational

WKU Volleyball travels to Milwaukee this weekend for the Marquette Invitational.

The Hilltoppers come out of the WKU Invitational with a 2-1 record, dropping a five-set thriller to Drake. The Hilltoppers were led by freshman Kaira Knox last weekend. Knox put up 41 kills, earning herself CUSA Freshman of the Week.

Falling into autumn: Cozy book reads

There’s a chill in the air, literary besties!

I have challenged myself to the insane task of reading 50 books by the end of 2025. This challenge started in June of this year, and–although it pains me to say this–we are still looking at reading about 5-6 books a month to complete this goal. I think I’ve decided to call this challenge “The Reading Hunger Games.”
