Hilltoppers Wide Receiver K D Hutchinson runs the ball into the end zone after a completing a 78-yard-one-handed catch during WKU’s game against North Alabama in Houchens-Smith Stadium on Saturday, Aug 30, 2025 (Von Smith)
One of the hallmarks of a good, high-powered offense is a reliable and competitive wide receiver room.
WKU Football is no exception, with standout alumni like Malachi Corley, Dalvin Smith and Nicholas Norris. Pass catchers who got it done game after game and were reliable targets for their quarterbacks.
And this season is no different. Entering week three, WKU has had a 100-yard receiver in both games. Senior Matthew Henry has 148 yards and junior K.D. Hutchinson has 113. A standout doesn’t make the room, the depth and competition within do.
