Human Bones and Horror Movies: The Punk Rock Flea Market comes to Bowling Green

Lovers of the weird and macabre gathered at the Sloan Convention Center for the Punk Rock Flea Market, Saturday.

The market opened up at 11 a.m. as vendors got ready to sell various merchandise, including horror movie memorabilia, alternative style art and even human skeletal remains.

Quarterback Maverick McIvor’s dominant five-touchdown performance Saturday night led the Hilltoppers to a 55-6 win over North Alabama at Houchens-Smith Stadium.

Following his 401-yard week zero performance, McIvor threw 24-31 with a 77% completion percentage for 305 yards and five touchdowns.

Lady Toppers win two of three in WKU Invitational

WKU Volleyball hosted the WKU Invitational over the weekend, winning two of its three games.

The Lady Toppers swept Wright State and Loyola Chicago on Friday to start the weekend before losing to Drake on Saturday.

An explosive WKU Soccer offense pushed past the Union Bulldogs in a 5-1 win on Sunday night.

WKU made seven changes to the starting lineup following Thursday’s 2-1 loss to Dayton. Freshmen defender Ansley Rice, midfielder Mackenzie Howard, and sophomore midfielder Ashton Lynam made their first starts of the season.
