The Bowling Green Daily News adapts to a change in viewership

The Bowling Green Daily News decided to cut back to three days a week from its previous six-day print model as audiences change how they read news, and the print prices soar higher.

Joe Imel, the Regional Publisher of the BGDN, said the cutback allows for BGDN to put more hours into its coverage, while also expanding further into nearby communities. It also allows BGDN to feature a larger print and a wider selection of fonts, as seen on Wednesday’s print edition.

Jim Madison abandoned his pursuit of a college degree and knuckled down into his hobby of screen printing T-shirts over 35 years ago.

Since then, he’s refused to compromise his traditional cutand-paste methods and abide by the digital design shift. His reward was making posters for monumental rock bands like Melvins, Tool, Iron Maiden and recently, Nine Inch Nails.

WKU Soccer falls to Flyers 1-0

A fortified Dayton defense kept WKU Soccer scoreless in a 1-0 loss on Thursday night at the WKU Soccer Complex.

The Hilltoppers created chances in both halves, combining for five shots, three of which were on target. They failed to break through the Flyers’ line to find the back of the net.

WKU Football prepares to host North Alabama

WKU football looks to keep the momentum rolling as it hosts North Alabama on the Hill Saturday.

Quarterback Maverick McIvor looks to continue his productive start, throwing for 401 yards and three touchdowns in week one against the Bearkats. McIvor was named CUSA Offensive Player of the Week for the performance.

WKU Volleyball set to host WKU Invitational

The WKU Invitational sets off this weekend as the Lady Toppers welcome three teams to E.A. Diddle Arena.

This weekend, the Lady Toppers and their six fresh faces will face a Friday doubleheader against Wright State and LoyolaChicago. WKU will finish the weekend Saturday against Drake.
